please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This pub has recently been refurbished, and it is now known as "The Beekeepers".

Well another day in the lovely town of Witney blighted by the eagle vaults the staff are still miserable the manager looks like something out of shrek but not as loveable service was slow as staff seemed more interested in causing riots and bad mouthing someone with her group of mates who look like they have just cashed there giro I managed to escape before the creshe opened and the garden and it was filled with half cut teenagers and unruly children not 100% sure why I risked it again but it was convenient and I had hoped that it had improved since my last visit! Oh well it's a such shame that so many pubs in town have closed yet this one stays open! Perhaps as well as drugs flowing round the pub freely they also accept milk vouchers!

Well the vaults is okay, but that's the best review you could give it, the staff are shockingly rude and hostile, the food is microwaved (although it is cheap and cheerful)... As previous people have said, the tables do not get cleared or cleaned, you feel you'd have to have several baths to get whatever is on you after. Finally the kind of people that go in there are what you may call avoidable. Fairly inexpensive but a waste of a potentially good pub to be honest.

This is definitely a "Wipe your feet on the way out" pub at the moment. Tables are sticky and not very clean. On the plus side drinks prices are competitive with the main bar having indoor swimming pool installed - (there is a water leak in the pub and the carpet is saturated!) Not a good visit - but will be back in 3 months to see if things have improved.

Not to be confused with the Eagle Tavern round the corner. They had real ale on in the form of Greene King IPA... I wouldn't advise it. Seems to be the hangout of local reprobates and people who wouldn't get served anywhere else.

Exemplifies all the worst aspects of town centre pubs whose only reason to exist is to loot teenagers of their cash, ply them with copious rubbish booze, and remain oblivious to the social consequences.

Like a creche in that most people in here are minors, and no Real Ale is available. Total crap.

Ugh. Tried to go in here a couple of times to watch football whilst staying in town.

Popular with those for whom tucking your tracksuit bottoms into your (white) socks is haute couture.

Reasonably cheap, I suppose.

No ale on sale, very poor show! JD & Coke at a good price though! Nice totty too!

This is a very popular with young drinkers. Unfortunately it suffers because of this and there is never any space to drink at the weekend.

The beer is not CAMRA material, but if you are looking for cheap booze and deals on spirits then this pub is for you.

The quiz on a Tuesday is supposed to be very good.

A typical town centre pub, if you like that kind of thing.

As already mentioned, young pub but start out early to avoid hormonal teens and over zelous doormen, large rear garden.

This is a typical 'meat market' pub, but it is a great pub to get going in... They have a good deal on Doubles and Shots. The door men sometimes are a little quick to react at times, so whatever you do, don't get drunk in there!!!!

Young (18) persons meat market.
