a pile of crap unless you're a student or dumb-ass New World type.

About as real as Turkey Twizzlers.

Miss the old Pharaoh. Was definitely more interesting and fun

Not as bad as The Larrik opposite, but still pretty dire, unless there is a big sports event on. Otherwise, utterly soulless. Cheap food, but you would have to be drunk to want to eat it.

Spent an hour or 2 there before and after the Fulham v Celtic match un July , place very cheap considering it's London (cheaper than O'Neils in Cardiff) . Service good considering the place was packed with green and white hooped shirt wearers

used to be acceptable for a quiet afternoon pint. needless to say it's got absolutely no atmosphere. positively toxic on a saturday night when every bobster and sophie in sw6 comes out the woodwork. aussie bar staff too busy moaning about England to serve. Avoid.

The negative posters must be deluded!
This is top notch pub.....
(1) Never crowded
(2) Un-smoky
(3) Great food - 2 for 1 meals during the day
(4) Comfortable seats
(5) Classy customers - i.e. no obnoxious lads/students!

Great for Sport - especially Kiwi, Aus, SA games.
But, if you think this is a great pub otherwise, you really really need to explore more. Bog standard Oneils.

One of those rubbish pubs that you only end up going to because a group of deluded friends like it. No atmosphere, and a table football game - always the sign of desperation

Awesome, great staff, great food and great for sport. The singer on a saturday has been there for years and is well worth seeing.

There's a really sexy Aussie girl behind the bar. She always makes my visit worthwhile.

Looking for accomodation in around this area. Does anyone know if any of the pubs have accomodation.

The bar staff here are about as useful as chocolate teapots.
Angus - 19 Mar 2003 19:23
Is great on a sat night with the live singer and when everyone gets dancing!

Would be great if anyone went there. Multi-quiz (spot the difference, mindsheeper) is sadistic and evil I tell you. EVIL!

Large, empty. Probably the only Firkin that is almost always empty. Boring, deathly boring.
Chris - 6 Sep 2002 16:37
was much better when it was the firkin. now it has no soul.
