The kind of place that makes you want to move town. Great selection of ales, friendly old duck behind the bar, and great airy room. Big fireplace too, although not necessary on a warm spring day. Would be my local if I lived up there. Highly highly recommended. Would be a 10 if the telly had been working for footy (although I know that's not to everyone's taste).

A typical pub that does the basics well. Nothing special, but good atmosphere and friendly staff. Beer was alright but not the best selection for me. Food also served but not sampled.

The front bar looked cosy with wooden panelling but we couldn't get a seat because it is only small. The back bar was too open plan for my taste and seemed to be full of students drinking blue WKD tonight (maybe I am just too old for this place). I was disappointed with the selection of ales which were Hooky, Adnam's Broadside, Doom Bar and Pedigree. Also �7.75 for 2 pints seemed very expensive indeed. OK but nothing worth rushing back for as there are better pubs in Warwick.

I also visited The Zetland Arms on Monday after talking to a local in The Rose & Crown, I arrived to a tiny entrance that opens out into a fair sized venue that is doubled by a rear garden. The quality of the service here was excellent. If I'm in the area again I would probably visit again

First the Good News: the interior and the atmoshpere have hardly changed at all since I was a "visiting regular" in the mid/late Seventies, and the beer is still good. The staff I encountered this week were all extremely friendly. The garden is delightful - through, strangely, I don't remember it from former times.
Now the bad: no accommodation anymore, and food is only served at lunchtime. Therefore on Tuesday night I had to repair the nearby JDW for a meal ... okay, but distinctly lacking in atmosphere by comparison. (I'd been really looking forward to trad. pub-grub in a trad. pub.)
Time was when the Morning Service over the road at St Mary's used to finish just as the Zetlasnd was opening: priest and people would decamp into the latter and discuss the sermon. I'd love to think that was still the case!

I visited this pub on the recommendation of a friend and very much enjoyed my time there.
It was outside of the tourist season and early afternoon so the pub wasn't exactly busy, but it was very pleasant inside and the (I assume) regulars were quite welcoming. We sat outside in the large, well maintained beer garden which offered a spectacular view of the nearby church. We didn't have food but the drinks were inexpensive and I had a pretty good pint of Adnams (I forget which now).
Altogether a nice, cosy boozer and well worth a visit. I'd like to see it on a Friday or Saturday night to see what the place is like when it's buzzing.

Great pub. Good food, good beer. I've been known to detour to Warwick from the M40 just to have lunch here.

Climbed the tower of st marys church on tuesday the is a lovely view including the Zetlands Beer garden. The tower looks excellant from the beer garden. A lovely pint of broadside beer is served. 8/10 super place.

Love this pub, super pint, well pints, of Black Sheep on my last visit and a great mix of customers. The landlady was very friendly as were the staff and in the summer the garden is glorious. Well worth a visit

Have been going to this pub for many years whilst living in Warwick. Always had mixed feelings on visiting the Zetland. Sometimes felt welcome with good service, other times felt like we were in the way of regulars who sit at the bar (and will not move to let you actually get served) They can look at you as if to assume you are an annoying tourist - but having lived in Warwick for longer than some of those sat at the bar, it makes you feel a little unwelcome and annoyed. Food and wine/beer selection has always been fine for us, but can be pricey compared to some in the area. The garden was always its focal point and outstanding feature - sat there on a sunny day it was delightful. It is such a shame that they recently made the decision to pave over the grass and make it feel more like sitting in a concrete jungle! What a shame. It went from feeling like sitting in a quaint country garden pub, to any other town centre beer garden. Overall an OK pub, but could really do with taking care of other customers better rather than those that sit in the way at the bar. We are regular customers & residents of Warwick too! We just dont sit in peoples way!

Great pub but with just average beer. The garden is terrific when it finally gets sunny. The bar area gets packed and can be difficult to get served.

Can be cliquey, and one does regret the passing of Davenports which could be had with pleasure here. However, some recent visits have proved that there is both good ale and good service to be had.

Made to feel very unwelcome, bar staff preferring to chat to locals before serving me, beer was thumped down on the bar.
Felt like a local clique. Won't be returning

Used to enjoy the Zetland years ago when I lived in the area but was very disappointed when I visited recently, were not made to feel welcome at all. Several regulars (I presume) sitting around the bar exchanged glances in a rather disdainful manner as I ordered my pint, as if to say, bloody tourists, will not be returning anytime soon.

This pub has a really nice atmosphere. The bar staff are very friendly and the food is of a very high quality.

This pub is in the centre of Warwick but has a pleasant beer garden if often, for that reason, very busy. There are two and half rooms, the front with a tall central table, the half a kind of conservatory. The beer is Broadside Pedigree and Tetley bitter. But although Cask Marqued this is not really a beer drinkers' pub. Pints seem to be poured clumsily and I have never had the feeling that the bar staff drank the beer themselves.
