It was a very good night out. A wide selection of music played. We didn't appreciate people throwing up on the dancefloor for entertainment. It was a bit dirty inside but generally a good night! if you were in billie rox on fri 3rd of feb, please email me as u may be the man of my dreams!!!

A group of 4girls came down from scotland to celebrate a couple of birthdays and had a ball in this club. We were looking for a cheesy nightclub and were directed to Jumpin Jaks by a local girl, and were not disapointed. We had taken lots of pictures and have laughed at them since then. The Full Monty show was worth seeing. Visit date 26th November 2004 and the comment regarding us not being short of attention was probably the best from our friends.

Maybe its just me but i've been in j'j's 3 times now and have never had a particularly good night its not dreadful and they do play some good tunes, you get served fast at the bar and the venue is friendly but there are much better places in manchester to have a good night out

We went on a Thursday night after we had been to see the full monty theatre thing 9which was rubbish by the way!) and it was a sort of pop idol meets kareoke! it wasnt heaving but it was busy and we had a great night! we had some disgusting shots by Corkies and loads to drink and didnt spend that much. The toilets arent that bad and there are loads so there wasnt a que! ;-)

I wouldnt go on a weekend tho. got a feeling it would be full of scallies!

one of the bar staff was as camp as christmas and was hillarious to watch!

Jaks is brill! There's a bit of everything wen it comes 2 the music, I've bin goin on Fridays for the past few months and I will continue 2 go until I get bored (which I dont think will be soon) The DJs r great, they play all games n stuff on Sat nites and you can win free champagne or drinks vouchers to use at the bar. The staff r all ded nice as well! Jaks is for all ages, there's people that go in who are 18+19 and people who've gone past 50! The talent is good as well! Loadsa fit lads r there, which means so r loads of pretty birds! Oh yeah on Fri drinks r 2-4-1 b4 11pm and on Sat its 2-4-1 b4 10!!! Go n try it u'll av a great nite!

This place is closed now, I think it's actually been closed for a year or so in fact.
James - 4 Jul 2003 12:08
dont bother with the negative people who are trying there hardest at disliking this place, i think its one of the best nights out in the city centre its got a great party atmosphere like town used to be great entertainment and to top it all its cheap for beer and free in before 10pm give it a try youve nothing to lose..
maddo - 17 Jun 2003 11:48
Its the best place in Manchester, top night out!!
A JJ's regular - 28 Apr 2003 19:19
The sheer light-woodiness of the place makes you feel like you have died and gone to an Ikea where they serve (bad) beer.

I have only been here once (for 20mins), and can honestly say that it is the worst place in Manchester, even worse than Jabez Clegg, Robinski's..Queen of Hearts...you get the picture.

Oh yeah, Chesney Hawkes did a gig here last year.
