Keep away from this dreary excuse for a 'pub' ,it is staffed by impertinent petulant children who run a competition amongst themselves as to who can bar the most customers , the tables are usually left in a filthy condition with paper menus stuck in puddles of stale beer, the lavatories stink like cattle sheds ,it must be the only pub in the country where you wipe your feet on the way out !

not a bad pub can get a bit busy though always some decent beers on and food is pretty average

Beer decent, not enough staff on.

Customers apparently taking part in a League of Gentlemen tribute day.

On a Saturday evening, this is a beer factory. Heaving with people, tables uncleared. Avoid!

Drinks and staff are fine but in terms of the building itself its pretty rubbish. Natural light doesnt get anywhere near the back of this long gloomy pub.

A decent 'spoons, with good fittings, though bland. Beer usually good, though weekends can be busy

Four guest ales on during my evening visit plus the usual other suspects. My Acorn Brewery Mild was good but rather cold. Food arrived promptly and with a smile. The staff in here seem a cut above the average Spooners - friendly and helpful. A good atmosphere and decent lighting made up for the deficiencies of the bland interior. I'd say it's worth popping in to see what's on.

Usual Wetherspoons fare. Packed on a Saturday night. Although there was a table to had right at the rear. Popular with the nightclub crowd.

Quick service, decent amount of ales on tap, typical spoons layout, 7/10

One of the blander, city centre Wetherspoons Ive been in. Essentially, just a long narrow room. The usual inofensive decor and mixture of seating styles, including a banquette section.

Eight real ales on this visit, the quality of my Magpie Early Bird was adequate, but not the best.

Friendly, helpful barstaff.

Good chilled atmosphere, when I called on a Thursday evening.

I'm not a fan of Wetherspoon's but this one was a lot better than most. Beer quality was excellent, and just 1.39 a pint!

Unlike the majority of Wetherspoon establishments I found this one had friendly, polite and helpful staff. The food was served quickly, presented well and very hot. The bar staff that served me were very knowledgeable about the beers they sold. Overall a clean and well managed pub.
