Total dive. £1 a pint on Mondays and the clientele reflect the cheap, watery Strongbow.

Now known as The Spectre. A Stonegate pub.

Well impressed, wasn't expecting it from this chain but 3 Real Ales available @ 1.99 a pint!! The pint of Goff's White Knight i sampled was spot on, well worth a trip 8/10

I dont know why, but despite the rubbish food and quite lousy interior, I love this place. Great seating areas, good amount of TVs for sports matches, alrigh tbar staff (some are a bit grumpy; overworked) but just love it! Good drinks prices, if you havnt yet, take a visit.

its cool, a bit of a standard starting place, with a good range of drinks, especially shots, and a pool table, however both of these things are overpriced. the atmosphere is nice, because the high prices deter scagheads, so its a must for once.

Used to be much better as has been said, but is still ok for a quick pint, would't stay all night though.

The trouble with this Hogs Head is that the managers change more often than the beer kegs. Used to have live music, football tv, pool table, great friendly bar staff and was a great second stop after spooners for a pub crawl. Now the manager has changed, the bar staff have left, no more live music and the pool table gets more smashed every night than the drinkers. They seem to be uninterested in keeping customers happy and prices are quickly increasing to extortionate levels.

uninteresting chain pub. used to do great roasts but food has gone downhill lately and you have to yell over the tv's which are always too loud.
