The New Inn has changed hands, but it remains a popular "real ale" pub, with live music at weekends. Ales on offer at the present time include Doom Bar, Razor Back and Wainright, together with ciders and lagar.

A spacious locals' pub with some great beers: Huh, Sidepocket, Black Sheep, friendly service, a dozy pooch and an old fashioned bagatelle board. Superior to anywhere else we went in Witney and located a little away from the market square although still on the S1 bus route to and from Oxford.

My first visit to this pub - it is I think the last one in Corn Street as you head out of town but don't give up - it is worth the walk. Good selection of real ales including a new one to me "The Hoard" from Backyard Brewery plus Black Sheep;Side Pocket for a Toad; Landlord and the ubiquitous Doom Bar! But a good little local boozer with friendly staff and chatty locals. Single bar with seating areas and a dart board plus outside seating for drinkers and smokers. I think it keeps "normal" hours during the week but opens all day at weekends. Well worth a visit - start her and then visit the others as you walk back into the town centre.

I had never been to this pub before but was welcomed by the landlord and locals as soon as I went to the bar. The beer range was excellent with Adnams Southwold, Side pocket for a toad, black sheep, Oxford gold and another one that I hadn't seen before called Fagin's bitter or Fagin's Ale, plus a couple more I can't remember. A big open fireplace, a pub dog and the promise of showing all of the six nations rugby make this a pub I will return to on a regular basis.

Small range of changing real ales, but you can get a taster to make sure you order something you like. Slightly off the beaten track so could do with a web site to let people know what's going on.

Not a particularly welcoming place. We were told to clear off and come back later so we didn't. As we didn't go back later I can't comment on the beer.

A place that actually feels like a pub with friendly host and decent beer. The Vale's 'Something Wicked' was an excellent pint on this visit.

Better than the BITE score suggests. Real Ale oriented pub with a chatty landlord, and six handpumps on - two serving ever changing micro brewery offerings. Beer well served. A very solid venue.

Good range of guest beers, live music every now and then. Just needs a bit of stability to events as a long way out of town and people just can't be bothered if they don't know what's happening.

Totally lacking in atmosphere. Beer extremely variable( too many and not enough drinkers being the problem)

Like most of Witney's pubs, The New Inn is an old Cotswold stone building, with a spacious interior, smaller bars having been replaced by an open plan layout. This pub has traditionally offered a range of real ales, and is developing as a first-rate real ale venue.

NICE LOCAL.....BUT COULD DO WITH SOME BACK GOUND MUSIC TO LIVEN THINGS UP A LITTLE AND STOP THE BAR STAFF LOOKING BORED....LANDLORD TALKS ALOAD OF BOLLOCKS THOUGH.

Great little pub, a real local that welcomes everyone. Good and wide selection of beers, music from time to time but no food. You almost feel like you are in the landladies front room.

Enjoyed an Exmoor Stag beer while looking at the books on sale. Friendly pub with an intersting garden area.

An excellent ale pub with an amazing six pumps! Was amazed at the good selection - Landlord, Hobgoblin, Black Sheep and Bombardier to name but a few. Unfotuntately no food but the beer and friendly staff made up for it!

The real ale at this pub is excellently kept and varied regularly. The staff and the locals are always welcoming. This pub is ideal for a quiet drink.
The pub has benefited significantly from a change of landlord.
