Re visit on a family meal. My experience is not shared with the last reviewer I am afraid though catering for Coeliacs is helpful. Soft drinks too dear, ale (if its your thing) uninspiring and food nothing to get excited about - better pubs around at these prices.

This pub is special in that they actually mark dishes suitable for Coeliacs on the menu!! A real bonus since my wife needs a gf diet, so we have been several times.
On top of that, we both find the food to be very good, not cheap but value for money. A good range of dishes and a comprehensive specials board.
As for the person who said the desserts were more looks than substance, well!! I have never seen a better range of good old British puds.
Staff were very helpful, too.
Thoroughly recommended.

Popped in with the family for a drink and it was extremely busy. I think this was down to a large amount of garden/outside space. Plenty of car parking though. It was ok but the play equipment in the garden was probably suitable for up to about 6 years old. My 10 year olds' opinion was - "this place is pants". Not a great selection of drinks but they did have HSB. Soft drinks were rather limited. Also the food was definitely quite pricey. Small bar area, so getting served is a small problem. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just felt there was ...something...a bit lacking. A very family and small kids type of pub though.

Visited for dinner, my wife had a very nice meal but my pie was just a microwaved re-heat and was pretty nasty to be honest. Deserts were more looks than substance too. I couldnt whole heartedly recommend as food is not cheap and is pretty average. if you go for it you probably need to stick to food that isn't easily pre prepared. My beer (Ringwood) was in good condition but paying 3.10 for Coke was disgusting. This pub is ok and Lanlord/Lady are attentive, but since I didn't complain I don't know how they would behave in those circumstances. Worth a go if you are not that demanding and want somewhere with a garden for kids. Better pubs in the area.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great. There's a bouncy castle for the kids in the garden, with play equipment to keep the little ones amused. Huge garden with plenty of space... nice and rural and relaxed. Plus great beer! Would recommend this time and time again

Mediocre food, incompetent service, cheerful staff. Ate there last night - there served my chiken pie with new potatoes and chips. The vegetables I ordered didn't arrive. When I asked for them they came as a stone cold dish which they had forgotten to microwave. When returned to the kitchen they never reappeared! Too few trained staff - the girl I had didn't know how the kitchen system worked or how to put things right. Perhaps it was a bad night but I wouldn't eat there again.

THe Life O'Riley played here last Thursday and its a great pub which caters to all. A small Tap Room, which seems to be the domain of a determined bunch of locals and a large Restaurant-come Lounge side. Average priced beer, with a Large Play area out the back for the kiddies.

Found all at the pub to be very friendly and welcoming and we had a good, if somewhat quiet night.
