Having moved to Westbury on Trym 18 months ago, I made the huge mistake in drinking in one of the village centre pubs until a few weeks ago myself and a friend did a pub crawl around the village and set foot inside this gem of a local pub!

As it was around dinner time, we ordered food and sat outside in the garden with beautiful views of the Blaise Estate. The food was really good, and (at 2 main courses and 2 beers for only 20) incredibly good value - it really tastes like proper home cooking.

Since then I've been to the pub several times with my girlfriend and we even took her parents out for dinner there last night. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere nice inside and out (although the TV is a little bit dominant in the small bar!)

Elaine and the rest of the staff are very friendly and, although I am moving further away in a few weeks time, iw ill still be visiting regularly!

Always a friendly welcome from Elaine and Billy. Beautiful views from the large beer garden.

Can get a bit crowded at times, but is understandable for a small pub. Would be marked higher if there was a larger selection of real ales.

The best pub in Westbury on Trym with the best pint of Guinness you will taste for miles. The LL and LL are the nicest people you will meet and its a pleasure to call this pub my local

Nice friendly local, it feels like that you are drinking in someones front room.

Has a nice garden with a fantastic views, which will be ieal for summer drinking. Also has a very nice flower displays.

Only downside? Limited choice of real ale for my other half.

This also has a pleasant little beer garden at the side, with - at the present at least - a very attractive view, particularly for an urban pub.

Small, friendly alehouse. Like a sitting room with beer. Good food and the friendliest dog in the west.
