Still a fairly nice pub in the village of Longford at the end of Heathrow's northern runway. The pub seems to get busier each time I go. The barn bar now has a large area of outdoor seating in front of it, whilst the main part of the pub still possesses all of the character. 4 ales are served. These were Fullers London Pride, Sharps Doom Bar, Rebellion Zebedee and Dartmoor Jail Ale on Thursday evening. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the White Horse is worth a visit if you're in the Heathrow area.

The old pub is a delightful relic from times when Longford was a small country village in the middle of nowhere surrounded by flat farmland. The cosy interior welcomes but then the sting hits with its prices aimed at the un-wary Heathrow traveller shipped in from nearby hotels. £4.80 for a pint of Dartmoor Jail Ale, £4.40 for other regular ales. The beer is always well kept but is well over-priced, be warned.

Used to use this pub on a regular basis when flying to/from Heathrow. Started off as a good friendly pub with a good mix of locals and people passing through. Now it feels as if it has sold its soul in chasing the big bucks from those of us passing through. Worth looking round for other pubs near the airport

I was here for the first and last time with some friends on Tuesday evening. We had what I can only describe as the worst buffet of my entire life. We had chosen to have a little pre-Christmas celebration and the website and menu looked ok. The food turned out to be anything but. Quality was made up for in sheer quantity, so we ended up with a LOT of food. You know it is bad when you are playing "I'm a celebrity bush tucker trials" with the food. Even after eating items we were unable to distinguish what they were. Subsequent studying of the buffet menu from the website did not clarify all of the items. Onion bhajis were burnt, wraps had egg mayo as a filling, canapé toppings were the colour and consistency of vomit. There were three cask ales on offer but I suspect they all came from the same barrel as all tasted exactly the same, and all tasted mediocre. Good things about this pub, a real fire and a spotty teapot that another customer had received his tea in. Neither of these things will ever make me return. Do not go here!

Was here again last night, for the first time in 18 months. Still a reasonably nice pub. But the prices are just too high. Half a cider and a Pepsi = £4.85! The ale selection has also deteriorated since my last visit. 3 beers were on - Greene King IPA, Fullers London Pride & Wadworth 6X. Convenient for my work and undoubtedly popular with tourists staying overnight in the Heathrow Airport area, it can probably afford to charge the exorbitant prices.

This pub, whilst being very close to Heathrow airport, has the genuine feel of a country pub in a nice village setting. It is very inviting, all low beamed roof and open fireplace, whilst they had four different real ales on the bar. The staff were friendly, and if it were not for the fact that it was �4 per pint, this place would get a much higher mark.
If I lived locally, I would choose not to pay these prices, but as a one off, it was something I had to grin and bear.
Overall, a good pub, just stock up your wallet if you intend visiting !

The White Horse is one of the better pubs in the Heathrow area. Whilst the aircraft noise is unmistakeable, if you can block that out, you feel as if you're a million miles away from an airport in a pleasant English village. The pub itself is fairly quaint and there were 5 ales on during my Tuesday evening visit this week - Caledonian Over The Bar, Sambrooks Wandle, Youngs Bitter, Fullers London Pride & Ringwood Best. Cider was Stowford Press, which at �4.15 a pint was fairly pricey. I'm not sure the ambient music playing in the background was quite right. But this isn't a bad option.

Ticks all the right boxes; well kept beers, exotic eastern european barmaids, quaint premises etc. but if they think it is reasonable to charge �3.90 for a pint of bitter or �15 for a burger and chips then they will have to do without my custom because I feel like I've just been raped.

This is an excellent pub. It is very old with low beams, obviously humans were much shorter when this place was built! Several pints of Brakspear bitter and a very good sandwich helped me sleep through the slightly obtrusive planes which were flying over every 45 seconds.

Visited on 5th June 2010. A choice of 5 ales on hand pull and an extensive choice of bottled ales, spirits and soft drinks. Good coffee and hot chocolate too if required. I was drinking Woodforde's Wherry (3.8%) which was very well kept while my wife was on vodka and diet cokes. Service was good with well-dressed and polite staff. We had a main course and a pudding each which were both excellent! The prices here are not cheap but neither is the quality. The washroom facilities are good and clean. I would thoroughly recommend this pub. If you're visiting the area, give it a go.

Just visited today with relatives from New Zealand. Beer was good (Abbots, London Pride, Courage) and service was excellent. No compalints at all. The females in our party, who are choosy when it comes to toilet facilities, were highly complimentary with regard to cleanliness which we were very impressed with.

Sadly families (baby asleep in buggy) not welcome in main bar.
Adjoining Barn Bar busy with some form of party therefore not suitable at the time. finished drinks and headed for the Kings Arms, where hospitality spot on.

A lovely pub!
Idea! Why not meet up and say cherrio to your loved ones here, rather than fill the coffers of BAA. With parking at at 2.80 P/Half-hour and other overpriced food it makes sense.
Point taken re all chips & salad, however, as opposed to the airport its still streets ahead. Re feel welcome, difficult to comment, I would find it strange if your a regular theres no rapport, so again point taken.
Sometimes publicans et al, seem to think that because they are there thats it, and the customers can bugger off! Bottom line use it too suit yourself.

Was here, doing a gig only last weekend. Didn't eat, but the bar staff and the Landlord were great, made us feel welcome. The chappie above must be the neighbour who complains about the noise of the live music - however, Cliff does make sure that live music finishes at 9:30 so the neighbours aren't disturbed late at night.

very over rated,beer is expensive and food is all chips and salad. have been a local for many years yet they still dont know my name or what i drink. none of the staff are that friendly, and certainly dont make you feel that welcome. not ideal if you want a quiet drink as the music is always VERY LOUD!! no comment on cliff but words brewery and p**s up spring to mind.....

The food here is 100%. Great taste and resonably priced for quality and qty. Drinks are a little pricy, but it's worth it for the friend atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Cliff the boss is a top bloke, his wife Claire is lovely and her sister is a gem. ;)
