Good little mid-street local with four ales on. Had the heavier Mumbles brew which went down well. Though a good little pub found it a bit less of a 'local' than the Victoria.

Visited back in the summer for the first time. A real gem. Excellent selection of ales, and all really well kept. Visited early Saturday afternoon and it was relatively quiet, but by about 4:00 pm it was getting very busy. Going back at Xmas, can't wait.

Tried this pub for the first time last Sunday midday. Was impressed immediately: it just gives the appearance of being an extremely well-run pub. The lady behind the bar (I presume the landlady) was welcoming and pleasant, and allowed us to try a couple of beers before settling on a couple to drink. Excellent they were too (from the Cottage Brewery in Wiltshire, seems a pity not to be drinking a Welsh ale in Wales but ...). The only thing that surprised us was to be the only ones in there for the hour we were there: she said they start to come in around half past two. Will definitely head for this pub again next time in Mumbles (tried the Pilot too but the Park is in a class of its own). Beware, it doesn't open till 16:00 Mon-Thur.

Despite the efforts of the Pilot down the road the Park Inn is the best pub in Mumbles. Five beers available during the visits this weekend, mostly from Welsh breweries including Purple Moose, Evan Evans, Celt. English beers were also in evidence from Black Country and Dorset Piddle breweries. Superb beer served in a friendly pub where conversation is king.

I'm writing this literally 10 minutes after leaving the pub amd what a worthwhile visit it was.
Several different real alea and Mrs TalbotHill was well please with the selection of bottled ciders. I shall, hopefully, get back here later on and sample more?
One thing to note: If you're in the area looking for this pub, bear in mind it's up a narrow back street and parking is very difficult.

I'm going to agree with all the previous comments by saying what an excellent pub this is. I spent my summer holiday in Mumbles and was glad I made the effort to search it out. It's a comfortable place with a real down-to-earth feel and friendly staff, who invariably greet you with a smile. I visted on three separate occasions over ten days and the cask beers on offer were different each time (with the exception of one beer which re-appeared). I didn't have a bad beer at any time and with my drinking partner we managed to sample them all. It was nice to see too that the majority of the beers were local. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

A great pub... it's not very often that these pubs are found. One of my �ber favourite pubs!
Plenty of real ales to choose from, and it has that real pub atmosphere and aura about it. It has a proper log fire (which was a God send after walking through the streets of Mumbles in the snow), and that cosiness to the place. The customers and the staff are always friendly. The place can also be peaceful, with a couple of quiet conversations going about and the crackling of the fire and I don't think there is a jukebox either (just a single old amplifier on a stool in the corner). The other day, I've only noticed that there is a telly in the corner, but I'm not sure when it's switched on.
There is a seating area outside the back, and a few board games stacked underneath the dartboard. There is an old piano there, too... but I haven't heard it being played yet. There is also a bookshelf with donated books to read.
It can be difficult to find, and it seems one of those places that are only found if you know where it is... or come across it by complete surprise as it blends in almost perfectly with the surrounding houses (apart from a couple of empty beer barrels outside). And they close at 11 every night... even on weekends. But that doesn't put me off going there... I'd arrive earlier in the evening!

What a hidden gem. Clean, comfortable and friendly with an excellent range of Real Ale. Located in a back street, it's not a pub you will visit by accident - but it's really worth the effort to find if you like Real Ale.

Yep, I certainly agree with the prevoius comments here. What a cracking Pub indeed, tucked away nicely too, well from the maddening hordes on the Seafront.......

The Park Inn is one of the pubs owned by the Swansea Brewing Company. A pleasant, relaxed and friendly pub in the back streets of Oystermouth. Serves good cask ales.

Visited in June 2008. Five real ales, all served at a wonderful temperature and a good range from weak to strong. Friendly bar staff and customers. You wouldn't know the pub was there unless you were specifically looking for it. Found it on this website, so thanks.

2 visits, ALL beers in excellent condition (esp temperature) Quality was matched by friendliness, fast disappearing from most public houses. Staff A1. Not much else to say.

Always has 5 real ales on - all good quality. Great place. Sometimes has too many dogs in the bar.

Local real ales in a snug-fitting supper's haven, out of reach of the marauding milers. No music unless somenes's knocking out some old time stuff at the piano. Good quiz Thursday. A genuine local.
