Good food, great value for money, and friendly helpful staff, also has the added bonus of having loads of free parking. We will definitely be back.

I went to this pub on sunday and had a delicious sunday roast, reasonably priced, quick and efficient service and nice newly painted pub inside. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to friends.

now under new management this is one of the best pubs i have been in for a while. good honest pub food, beer garden and friendly locals. manager and staff go out of their way to look after customers. well worth a visit.

One of the best pubs in Carlisle 7-8 years ago, now going down hill rapidly, refurbishments have ripped the heart out of the bar and turned it open plan to increase the amount of tables for diners while the regulars have been pushed to one side and most have left. No Sky sports just cheap foreign satilite showing premiership matches, over priced beer, badly cooked food and unpleasant staff, especially the management

Have to agree with Jenray, very pricey, and gone so down hill in the last few years, and now has bed and breakfast to they can even rip you off in your sleep, any one wishing to stop in or drink in the pub just drive on by other places in the town offer cheaper and better accomadation. If you do decide to eat here then make sure you have plenty of time because no effort is made to serve you in a hurry.

Very expensive, prices compare to some of the classy places in town, and this place aint classy, service left a lot to be desired. Wednesday night not even busy waited an age for food, complained and didnt even get an explanation. If you feel the same about bad service from your local use this site, let them know
