Now a Poundland. And the Beaten Path across the road is now the Buy and Buy supermarket. Tsk.

a jolly nice place indeed and a good time had by all, thanks to the splendid manager for entertaining us till 2am and sorry that Rosie had to go and be sick all over the carpet.

Friendly?....Had so many stares walking into this place I thought I may have suddenly become horribly disfigured. Not so. Just a pub that dosent welcome strangers and has a palpable sense of hostility and menace. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Make sure you wear a stab jacket when visiting this pub any weekend.Don't look at anyone and you may have a chance, and keep an eye on your wallet

It also kicks off in there at the weekend sometimes. However it can be fun watching non- drinkers being told to leave during the premiership football shown on the large screen. The pub empties directly after the football has finsished. There was a cute barmaid in there once -which was a redeeming feature for a while. Beer average E&C prices if you ignore wetherspoons (which is advisable).
