Tin Drum, Brightonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
People say it's expensive but not when you consider its table service and they are premium lagers but they do have to try a little harder if they want the exclusive, high-class feel they are after.

One of our prty had Sunday roast. It left a lot to be desired. 'Aunt Bessie' had helped out a bit too much. Bland, very average, not very good value for money either.

I've just eaten in the Tin Drum ......... wish we had gone anywhere else. Rubbish food.
Wrong orders brought. Boringly predictable as they didn't write any orders down.
The tapas menu ...... don't bother if you're a veggie. Not much to write home about if you're not.
'Halloumi skewers' arrived with 1 weeny cube of halloumi on a skewer. Really pathetic, didn't pay.
Also ordered a chick pea and lentil stew - I'm 99% positive it was straight out of a can. It tasted like it, had nothing good going for it, so may as well have been if not.
It was all just below average.
One sweet waitress, who was very affable about the crappy halloumi, so service wasn't terrible.
To sum up:
Overpriced, pretentious when it really doesn't need to be, dull and lacking in atmosphere generally. Go anywhere else.

More like a restaurant/bar than a pub. Good range of lagers. Food is expensive but usually worth it- the Sunday roasts are outstanding.

No real ale visible on the pumps here but then this place doesn't present itself as an old-style boozer. I guess �32 was a fair bit to pay for bruschetta (effectively fancy cheese on special toast from whose base one had to peel a paper-napkin), 75cl of red wine, and coffee for two, but I suppose we weren't just eating and drinking, but also renting a table with an interesting view of Brighton townscape on a street which is too narrow for the (at least) three bus-routes which use it. The 10% service-charge seems mandatory, though it probably only rated five or six.

Polish Tapas anyone? Quite good food, table service in this bar/cafe. Not quite a pub, but rather nice pit stop when in the way into or out of town.
Very interesting art installations, great martinis. See, told you it wasn't really a pub.
