Don't know what is happening with this place. Walked past it the other day and it was boarded up. But it did have a banner outside saying 'under new management' so there is potential it will have a new lease of life as a pub/bar.

It was refurbed a couple of years back and now has a brash, modernist interior and plays music. On the positive side, excellent beers and a landlord who cares.

Pretty decent gaffe. Would recommend you give it a visit.

Now sellling real ale and could be soon giving Fannys Ale House a run for its
money especially as the outside area is more accomodating.
However would seriously advise people use both establishments as we need
to use 'em or lose 'em.

For the sake of your health and wellbeing do not frequent this pub!

The "To Let" sign does indeed mean the lease is up for sale (again).

It has had 2 different chav landlords in the last 6 months and unfortunately neither know how to keep their lines clean or keep good quaity ale.

Just for the Sport fans Sky TV has been taken out, so the punters are forced to watch episodes of Corrie, Eastenders and other Chav TV delights.

If no money is put in the juke box it subjects the listener to "easy listening" singalongamax numbers.

The poor condition of the ale is not reflected in the rather steep prices and the surly bar staffs' attitude is "like it or lump it".

For God's sake if the state of the toilets is anything to go bt don not touch any of the bar food.

It is dead most of the time and that is how the staff like it.

Decent ales and a bar more than the size of a postage stamp. So in one way it's better than its neighbour Fanny's up the road. Handy for all the restaurants nearby if you fancy a proper beer. Now got a "To Let" sign outside. Hope this doesn't mean it's days are numbered.

On a cold and wet Friday evening this was a welcome haven. The pub has traditional towny decor and perhaps suited more to an older clientele, which suited me - the Saltaire Blonde was on form on this occasion.

Decent basic pub with real ale; no frills no food no trouble.

Sorry to mimic the last poster, but 3 real ales including a local Saltaire (Blonde) one in bad condition. It almost made me gag.

Interesting club across the road that looked completely out of place.

3 real ales, including a local Saltaire one in decent condition

Very pleasant - mixed-custom local with good Landlord (though not as good as I remember from much earlier visit) and particularly friendly staff. Ideal stop while waiting for takeaway from Aagrah !
