please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Had an excellent and reasonably priced Sunday roast in this extremely welcoming and friendly pub. Reasonable choice of ales from the likes of Plain, Eight Arch & Flack Manor. Will definitely return for another meal.

A friendly quirky treasure of a pub. We have defected to here following nasty tarting up of nearby establishment.

In the end the 'other lot' have done us a favour as this is more welcoming than they ever were.
Have also eaten here and will again. I don't drink beer so probably shouldn't be contributing to this site, but the wine is nice, and the locals all seem to be enjoying their pints.

An excellent place to bring friends for a drink or a meal as the staff acknowledge you as soon as you go in - which is almost unheard of nowadays!

Lovely atmosphere, good wine, food and service. What more could you ask for?

Used to be the private Brackenhill Country Club years ago. Beer and food normally excellent although the clientele can give the place a bit of a 'God's waiting room' feel!

Yes Mcewans you are missing out. It was a private bar/restaurant 25 years ago but now its got good old local charm.
You dont often see shove'hapenney these days but here even the local darts league know where they stand.
Food is from good down to earth basic and can sometime be memorable, mums best gravy.
Old Oakmeadians meet here also, licensee being one of them.
