Really, really wish my mate and his new girlfriend had asked to me meet me here rather than execrable Whistlestop (over the level crossing. Don't be put off by the somewhat drab exterior: well laid out interior, added to friendly staff with a good enough to make a reasonable guess at your choice of quaff even if they haven't seen you for a few weeks makes me give the Vic a thumbs up. Not tried the food yet but it looks like it might be worth a go

One of the few pubs where you can hear an Irish singer & watch football at the same time - bizarre but enjoyable.

Everytime I have been to this pub I have found it to be friendly, well staffed and clean. The ladies toilet is always sparkling! The live music is always good and congenial to traditional pub sundays. Prices are good. Food is excellent. the outdoor smoking area is the best I have seen in any pub. No complaints at all. All age groups seem to mix well.

Was my local for many years before I moved into town. was a dependable old fashioned boozer. Has had a terrific makeover and is by far the best pub in the locality now. Good pub Grub, good range of drinks and efficient freindly staff. Good mix of local clientelle. I wish them well for the future and will continue to pop in any time I am passing through.!

I met my dad at portslade station for our Sunday drink I was late and he had already been in the Victoria his ale was not good and decided to return the offending pint / he was one there first customers and thought a little might need pulling off but couldn�t get the bar person to understand and gave up the taste of that pint ruined he taste buds for our session / trust my dad don�t drink there real ale/ thank god I missed the bus
