Yep. It's now a Tesco. Every little helps :-(

Closed now; going to be converted to a Tesco Express, a fate that has befallen quite a few Bristol pubs. As I posted a few years ago, this could have been a good pub but as things ended up, it's no great loss.

PLEASE IGNORE PREVIOUS POST,THIS REFERS TO THE FORESTERS IN ASHLEY DOWN ROAD!! sorry!!

No ale when visited so opted for Blackthorn. Service was friendly enough but the pub is very tired looking to say the least. If u want decent beer try the lazy dog just down the road. 5/10

Went in the other day and was met with the following cheery greeting from the barmaid:
"I've got no Foster's or Stella and the lads tell me the Best tastes like shit!"
When I asked for a pint of cider, she said:
"Sorry the gas has gone on that."
I left.

Looks like it's closed again.

Passed by a few times in day & night over the last week or so and no signs of life. Maybe local Plod have had enough, I don't know.

This used to be a great pub years ago and it could be again. Good luck to the new landlord, he's taken on a helluva difficult job.

Pity the gentle denizen of Westbury that decides one day to pay a visit. Trouble is, he'll stick to the carpet impeding the getaway from 'meader goons.

Shut down recently by men in white cars with blue flashing lights. Some kind of issue with white powder that wasn't Daz,Bold or Ariel.

Oh my, not been in for years until this week but left before buying a drink. Let's just say you should maybe pump yourself up with song's such as "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting!" by Elton John or similar before you dare venture here. Young crowd, unwelcoming atmosphere, no thanks!

As TerryTibbs rightly stated, much better pubs in W-O-T village. In fact go less than 1/2 a mile in any direction from here and you will find fairly decent pubs in the Mouse, Victoria, P.O.T., White Horse or Price of Wales. Just don't go here and think all other pubs in the area are similar joints - they are not thankfully.

Avoid. Bit of a reputation for minor spilling onto the street and for the more, ahem, fresh faced drinker. There are several better pubs close by.
