Been coming to this pub on and off since 1993. Excellent, well-kept and varied beer, a friendly welcome and just a great pub. The pinball and pool table add to the appeal for boys re-living their youth like me! Recommended.

A super pub in the countryside, just outside Pool in Wharfedale.
Really friendly welcome, superb choice of beers, always on good form. Also very 'Dog' friendly pub, providing they are controlled and well behaved.

Only slight problem is public transport, which is poor, especially in the evenings, so, it's only 2 pints if in the car!

Love the pinball table !!!

Interesting bungalow/roadhouse. Nine handpumps up each with a small sample glass next to it to give you a colour clue. We sampled 7 of the beers, all in good condition. Not really busy on our visit but the trade must fair to support 9 pumps. Did not sample the specials food board but offering good value it seems.

Found this to be an excellent outlet for real ales, all served at a high quality. There was a beer festival on but no problem getting served, friendly bar staff.

another pub going down the nick. nowhere near as good as it was a few years ago. brusque service and it really is filthy. i mean, i know it's a bikers pub but the amount of flies buzzing around your head when you're trying to play pool... it's like being in 'help i'm a celebrity'.

The best pub in the world, literally! always an excellent selection of real ales which are kept on top form, a great atmosphere which feels welcoming as soon as you walk through the door with an open fire to keep you warm in the Winter months, there's plenty of seating both inside & outside on the patio, food is served at lunch time & children are allowed up until 9pm & dogs are allowed after the food has stopped being served at 3pm, there's a pool table & a jukebox which plays at just the right volume.
nearest rail station - Weeton 1.8 miles
buses stop outside on the 653 Harrogate - Bradford service & the 904 Harrogate - Otley service.
