Loud, loud, loud.

Son of TheBeerMonster had his pre-wedding drinks here. I was so surprised that I got past the bouncers at the door at my age!

Inside, however, the staff are very helpful and very friendly. (Well this is Yorkshire, after all!) Importantly, there were plenty of bar staff. Every time I went to the bar I got served very quickly and without fuss.

A couple of crashes as the cocktail barman dropped a bottle or two throwing them up in the air upped the entertainment.

Great views over the river, and a superb city centre location. Not the best for beer, but if you are young, beautiful and proud (which I'm not!) this is a place to go.

Menu revised to fit more with the pub-grub brigade...mains are not good value, but there'e a large starter/tapas menu which is reasonable value.

Grand riverside location and ace staff and service.

No real ale though and often very inappropriate squawky, so-called, background music probably piped from head office. You really do not want that on a romantic lunch or supper!

Good bar staff, very knowledgable.

Pianist who plays there is very good, Joel White. Seen him play in Sheffield.

Expensive & it tends to be packed. I've eaten there a couple of times & thats well over priced.

Never had a problem in here, a bit dark but the people are nice and it's spacious enough.

A large, smart and reasonably exclusive city centre bar. Strict door policy on weekend evenings, means no trainers, t-shirts, or scum (or perhaps just rich scum allowed). Overall, fairly nice, good food, good drinks choice, & pleasant surroundings. High Prices!!!!
Try it, at the very least for the view from the outside terrace balconies, over the River Ouse to the Kings Arms.
