This has re-opened with Al Stringer from the Southwick Brewhouse as the new Landlord. Beer was always good down South and I assume he's kept that up in his new venture. I'll be in Norfolk in a few weeks and will drop in and report back.

Still closed yesterday lunchtime and looking very sad and neglected.

Notices now state that the pub is closed pending a structural survey.

Check before you make a special journey - we called today in passing (Monday evening) but it was closed. I couldn't see a sign but assume it mustn't open Mondays.

This pub furnished us with one of the nicest meals we've had in a restaurant, let alone a pub. Fantastic quality - great chef - don't leave! And very reasonable. Don't be put off by the fact the building looks as though it's about to collapse from the outside; inside it's quirky, cosy and very welcoming. Wonderful find.

A friendly welcome, very good beer (well kept Woodforde, Adnams and a Norfolk micro all on tap with a range of the micro's bottles when I went) plus reasonably priced, delicious food made this hungry cyclist very happy. Oh yes and the decor is rather unusual.

A true gem of a friendly village local. Recently re-opened by a young couple from Norwich after being closed for over a year. He's the chef. Locally sourced ingredients. Good honest food. Great Sunday roasts. Two rooms - the pub bar and the 'eating' bit. In fact it's become so popular just by word of mouth that you have to book a table to eat at the weekend - shame but that's the price of success... still you can always eat in the bar next to the wood burning stove. Interesting paintings on the walls. Slightly excentric decoration - but - hey what's wrong with that? A fab selection of guest beers that are changed every couple of weeks. Garden at the back. Love it!
