please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I visited this pub last week with a friend and his family for a meal and drinks; his children were aged 7 and 9. The owner’s son who is a magician even came down and showed the children some magic tricks which they thoroughly enjoyed, along with the parents. We had a great time and there were no problems/issues with the children being in the Pub. I do not know how the negative comment made earlier bears any resemblance to this pub, but looking at their user name I am not surprised.

Having just eaten at The See Ho I am amazed at a previous post. The food and hospitality were excellent as was the service and polite staff. Good beer, huge car park and easy access to the main roads. Certainly a place to revisit.

Young bar maid chucked us out of this pub after being here for little more than an hour seated outside with my Son and grandchildren.
My grand kids and daughter in law were sat the whole time and made no fuss , just sat quietly as a family when the young girl came out and said 'sorry no kids you must leave at once before (someone) gets back.
We pointed out we had been here on or third round of drinks, albeit mostly soft drinks apart from myself and not once was this mentioned or did she bother to come out side to collect glasses. Pub was very quiet anyway. We were not even allowed to finish our drinks that we paid for. And she stopped us from taking our bottled juices away with us too. They must be so well off they can let this bratty abrupt teenager behave like this. Outrageous. We have just purchased a lovely bungalow a few minutes walk away and we shal never return.

Went for a meal here tonight, the landlady, went on about how good her steaks and duck were, so I took her advice and went for the duck. Didn't notice how much it was but I was hungry so I didn't care.
My duck was cooked to perfection as were the beautiful array of vegetables that I am assured are fresh, locally sourced. Wendy was most delighted when I explained how beautiful the meal was and the reputation for such lovely meals will grow.
I didn't get an itemised bill but I knew what I had purchased and ordered and the price suited me.
I think I will come back here again. And bring my friends . Maybe try the T bone steak...

Went for a meal here tonight,Wendy ,the landlady, went on about how good her steaks were so I took her advice and went for a T-Bone.Didn't notice how much it was but one of my companions went for one as well(there are, apparently, only two per day on offer. My other companion went for a Lamb Shank. My steak was fattier than I would normally expect and a lot tougher. My companions was O.K but nothing special, all in all a bit of a disappointment after the build up.Wendy got most annoyed as she said it was the only time anyone had complained about her steaks and that she had a good reputation for them. That may be the case but my steak was well below par for the price of it,which I was still not aware of.She reluctantly dropped the price by 5 but when I paid there was no itemized bill so I don't know if I paid less or not!!After a pleasant welcome the atmosphere turned a little uncomfortable, don't think we will go again!!

Fairly recently changed hands I think. Certainly does tend to appeal to the 'older' clientel (now you know why we go there) but please don't let that put you off. The ale is well looked after and there's plenty of 'fizz' for the younger, less discerning set. Good menu and 'specials' board. Food is good and plentiful with a meat raffle Sunday lunchtime. Bar adornments are excellent.

Isolated country pub near Gad's Hill. Does 2 course pub lunches for under 5.00 Very popular with the old folk. It's an OK place serving London Pride in acceptable condition, but it does feel a bit like an old people's home.
