Popped into this pub on the way back home. Very nice, friendly place with an excellent selection of ales. I had the Kelham Island American Stars & Stripes which was excellent. Will add this to my list of 'must visit' pubs when I'm next in the Black Country.

Quite enjoyed my visit here on Easter Sunday night. There were 6 real ales - Acorn Northdown Blonde, Hopback Summer Lightning, Cottage Tornado, Darkstar Saison, Oakham Bishops Farewell and Kinver Black Bear IPA. There are also 2 ciders - Thatchers Gold and Stowford Export. Unfortunately the latter is only on sale during the summer months. The service was friendly and efficient and the other customers seemed quite friendly too. A pleasant pub. The only drawback was the lack of parking.

Called into this friendly local pub last month and really enjoyed the 4 beers I had and the company in the pub. Good range of beers well kept, nd sometimes a new micro brewery will turn up on the pumps. Worth a visit.

Called in here a couple of times recently and each time it gets better with a terrific range of changing beers. The Black Bear IPA 5.8%, brewed by the Kinver Brewery is superb, quite a statement from me who normally favours darker ales. On last visit tried Phoenix Brewery- Flash Flood 4.1%,Downton Brewery- Golden Delight 5.1% and Springhead Brewery- Charlies Angel 4.5%, all in top condition. The display of pump clips behind the bar for beers coming on in the near future look most promising. I'll be visiting this Black Country gem again over the Christmas period

A friendly local. Been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for a number of years. Used to get smokey but better since the introduction of a non-smoking area, though only a small area in front of bar. A good everchanging variety of guest beers.

Shepherd Neame MILD is very rare round these parts, although only a keg was not too bad. Bitter drinkers do better here with 4 ever-changing guest ales. I love this pub, originally an 18th century farmhouse so has a lot of character and the right sort of customers. Gets a mention in the "Dudley Real Ale Trail Guide". A useful stopping off place when strolling between the Britannia (Bathams MILD) and the Old Bulls Head (Pig on the wall MILD).
