Pleasant and friendly enough but pretty empty for a Saturday night. Went for lager here as they only had taylors landlord on and I swerve that outside of Keighley. The only proper pub left in Radlett.

After three poor pints at the Stirling Corner Harvester, The East Elstree and the Battleaxes, it was a joy to finish up at the Cat & Fiddle. This is a terrific old pub with lots of stained wood and alcoves. A very friendly chatty barmaid welcomed us and gave us the run-down on the 3x real ales and the 6x lagers. I sampled a couple of excellent pints of Otter. Speckled Hen and Ruddles County were also available although the latter was just about to be replaced by Lancaster Bomber.
An atmosphere of bonhomie pervaded the pub, and it's undoubtedly the best boozer in the Radlett / Borehamwood area. It's also very convernient for Radlett Cricket Club and Tabard Rugby Club on the south side of Radlett.

Really good country pub, with loads of child friendly outside space, and a new friendly team to bring it back to what it was.
Excellent range of beers and also great menu, will definitely go back again

Still a lovely place for a good beer. Unfortunately, after many years the current owner, Mike, is selling up, and it'll be under new ownership in 3 to 4 weeks time. I do hope its NOT ripped apart, OR even worse, turned in to yet another restaurant masquerading as a pub by its new owners! There are far too many of those already!

Lovely old pub. The ale was ok. The food wasn't. If you like visiting old pubs this is certainly worth a go. Would not eat here again, the food was sort of fresh from freezer to microwave type.

A pub that is full of character with plenty of cat and boxing memorabilia. There are 3 separate drinking areas. At least this is one pub where the owners have not felt the need to knock all the dividing walls down. The real ale range was not too inspiring - Green King IPA & Old Speckled Hen, Fullers London Pride, Adnams Bitter, Black Sheep Best Bitter - and the food looked as if it had just come from the microwave. But I wouldn't discourage anybody from visiting here. It's certainly worth a punt if in the area.

Great pub! Four real ales always in good condition, including Abbot. Food good too. Rambling pub giving it loads of character. Recommended.

What a beautiful well kept village pub. Attentive staff, well kept beers and the best food in the area by far. Strongly reccomend that you give this quaint pub a try, you'll not regret it.

Went yesterday for a family Sunday lunch, food was 9 different roasts and was fab, great service with a smile, a very pleasant day was had by all.
The desserts were great too we had the cheese board and there was enough for 3 well worth it.
I will be going back to try the week menu.

They don't do liquer coffees yet but i'm sure they will.

Very nice pub, with several bar areas and a separate restaurant bit. 4 beers to choose from, all reasonable quality, and an astonishing TEN choices of meals at lunchtime. The barstaff are friendly and efficient.
I can't think of anything bad to say about this pub!

Excellent old pub, half a mile south of Radlett centre. The fine food menu includes 6 lunch "specials" and for real ales there are Adnams Broadside and Bitter, Abbots and Greene King IPA. Friendly and efficient barstaff. Huge beer garden and car park. If I lived in Radlett this would be my local, no question.
