Planing application in for demolition and construction of a restaurant/brasserie, 30 residential units (including a managers maisonnette), managers office, car and cycle parking, waste storage areas, landscaped public open space, rainwater harvesting tank, new vehicular access from Ferrymans Way and new shared surface service layby access from Portland Beach Road. Shame if it goes ahead.

This place looks slightly forbidding from the outside but it's not a bad place at all. Good beer and friendly atmosphere make it it good stop on the coast path.

Very friendly pub welcoming to a bunch of Sea Kayakers , Great log fire although it early still early evening. My alcohol drinking buddies seemed to quaff there beer with pleasure and my diet coke was, well just like diet coke should be. Also top marks for commuinty concerns as someone handed my front door keys in there and they kept them and are sending them back to me, now thast is service. rsw 5th January 20

OK pub, friendly barman and the cider I had was execellent - can't remember the name but some local stuff. Other beers were Stella and normal John Smith's rubbish. Only had the one pint so can't really rate it

New owners in September 08. They seem very friendly and have good sounding plans for the place. Nice to see somebody who cares about the place at last. Chef is excellent with a reasonably big menu most of which is homemade. I had the burger - delicious and my partner had lasagne which must have been good as we went back a week later and had the same again!

No real ale yet but a reasonable selection of other beers and drinks. Good selection of wine.

The place was full of scary looking people. Scary enough to deter four of us from trying a second time.

Big, ramshackle looking pub on the edge of Chesil Beach which attracts plenty of passing trade from the windsurfers, although it's not a typical surf dude pub. Food served is reasonable.
