incidentally the previous (previous) post mentioned about it being 'more local than a tourist trap' - it is (along with the neighbouring 'aux temps') among the most tourist trap bars in the whole of Brussels.

Not as picturesque at the neighbouring 'Aux temps...' but more convivial and with draught beers (inc. Kwak)) a Kwak and a coffee for the missus set us back E8.50 which is ok for downtown Brussels.
Plenty of other places that could be added but some folk aren't too keen on them being listed under other bar/pub names and as the site no longer adds places then that is that.

Visited on 12th November on a crawl. Fascinating old quirky hideaway from the bustle of the Grand Place, and one turning away from Au Bon Vieux Temps. Because it is so hidden it is more of a local than a tourist trap. Very restful and quiet on my visit (around 6pm on a Monday).
Staff were friendly, and I enjoyed my Chimay.
Would return.

Excellent place to stop off in, near a cluster of other good pubs. Good choice of beers and a friendly landlord.

Such a strange place! It's very small and difficult to find and its's not so well-kept. But you find here a really typical atmosphere, and most of all, you can find here a pleasant moment of rest. I've drank a wonderful, superb "Bourgogne ds Flandres".

Tucked up another at the end of a narrow alley - this pub is actually next to Au Bon Vieux Temps, but you have to walk up a different alley to get there.
The pub consists of two tiny rooms, you can book the lower room (furthest from the door). Like many Brussels pubs, seating is at wooden benches, meaning that you can end up in conversation with the regulars. One of the barmen (might have been the landlord) entertained us by getting his keyboard out and starting to accompany himself while singing his favourite songs. Odd little place, but pleasant.
