please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Was here during the six nations earlier this year. The bar was heaving, as you'd expect, and one of the male bar staff did seem to serve any girl in a low cut top ahead of me which was fairly annoying. That said the rest of the staff were fine and were working well at a very busy time. Frustratingly the match seemed to coincide with cocktail happy hour though and this meant that the staff would often be occupied for some time making these whilst I was left wanting a pint.

I quite like the bar itself and it's laid out well with a nice crowd and a good vibe. Certainly somewhere I'd happily visit for a night out in Clapham.

Completely baffled by the comments about the staff in this place as I found the staff helpful, nice and efficient. It's quite funny that you get table service considering it's a pub but it meant that I didn't have to get up from watching the football so I can't complain. This is also a really spacious place with a nice interior. I don't normally find myself in Clapham but i'd have no qualms about coming back if I do

Never had an overwhelmingly bad experience, as long as I'm not the one going to the bar to get a round in. Probably the slowest service I've encountered in Clapham.

The Staff are Awful & Rude - the Service is Horrendous & SO SLOW!!

I'd Warn anyone & everyone to just stay Well Clear - going here will only ensure you have a Terrible Night & go home ANGRY & ANNOYED!!

I have never been a big fan of this pub. It is poorly layed out, the service is slow and the interior is quite bland and souless. Yesterday however, my dislike for the place was taken to a new level, by the rudeness and incompetience of the staff.

I ordered food there from a visably overwhelmed bartender. After waiting 30 minutes, I checked to see if my food was coming. After another 10 minutes, he came back scratching his head, unable to find the order, and asked me several questions about the time of order. Another 5 minutes later, he said he couldnt figure out what had gone on, and was getting the manager involved. After waiting longer, the manager interrogated me, suggested i was lying and that I hadnt ordered anything (despite my friend witnessing me purchase it) and went away to check the till.

She said that the till was correct, that i had made it up and wouldn't refund my money or make the food. I think this is tautaument to theft, and disgraceful behaviour from management and staff alike. They treated me like a criminal when they had clearly made a mistake and then in essence stole 6 quid off me. Avoid this place at all costs!

Not great. Just doesn't feel right inside. Seems to try to be a trendy bar/nightspot, sports bar, and traditional pub all at once and doesn't succeed being any of them.

Why do people go here. There are so many better bars within 400m.

Just a bit soulless really.

Really, really busy whenever I've had to go there. I have absolutely no idea why. It's got nothing going for it other than the location.

same as it ever was - two words: service

The Bison is currently closed for refurbishment... and a rebrand.
