please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

In my opinion this is not the best pub in town, it seemed to lack any atmosphere, felt more like a bland church hall than a pub, only stayed for the one as my pint was not that good, sorry guys, I am a pub lover and respect and appreciate anyone who keeps our pubs going, I am not that fussy but this one was just not for me

This pub is now under new ownership & management having just recently re-opened. The weekly market has been evicted from the car park and the Ballroom looks like it has been renovated. The menu has a decent selection of simple pub meals all home cooked and a decent selection of beers on tap. A world apart from how it used to be. Well worth paying a visit to now.

I have visited this pub twice now. The first time it was a horrible place and clearly attracted the wrong crowd. I have recently been on holiday in Minehead and heard it was under new management. The new pfamily in there are great, and the meals are much better than what they used to be. This pub has definately improved alot and is defo worth the visit!!! :D

Scary pub. Worried I might go to the toilet and 'dissapear' Beer was okay though - looks nice from outside.

A horrible place full of braying chavs, presumably from Butlins. Would not like to see what it's like in summer. Worth avoiding if possible.

I rate this pub a 1 because it is still open, though I cannot understand why anyone would go in more than once. Must once have been part of the Hotel of which it occupies one downstairs corner. The car park has a car boot sale advertised weekly(?) and this is one of the establishments that lets Minehead down and will lead to its further decline. The whole end of this town is blighted by its proximity to a local holiday camp.
