I am not sure what this place is trying to be...
The beer was quite well kept and drinkable, the food looked "ordinary" but there was no welcome and no atmosphere.

For sale. Not boarded up so I do not know whether it is still trading or not.

We [4 thirsty lads ] visited this drinker in early May 2012. We had been on a boat cruising the Warks Ring. The rain was belting down so we decided to moor up overnight . We found a very pleasant pint indeed, sorry I cant remember what it was ! But we enjoyed quite a few of them ! Then a girl came out and lit the fire for us, so we enjoyed quite a few more. We did not eat at this pub so cannot comment on the food .I had one last pint and rolled back to the boat to cook supper.
I am planning to cruise Warks Ring again next May , and will endeavour to visit this drinker again ,should we pass it by at opening time.

Worst pub I've ever been to.

Some people are born to work in the hospitality industry. The manageress of this dump most definitely wasn't.

Menus made of dog-eared A4 paper that were all tatty. The food that followed was bordering on offensive. Beef that was grey and the texture of blotting paper.

Service appalling, and the rudest, vilest manageress I've ever had the misfortune to meet.

Suffice to say, we will NOT be returning. I strongly recommend you give this hell-hole a wide berth.

Had a lovely family meal at this pub. The food was freshly cooked and excellent quality. An interesting and varied menu, with good choices for vegetarians. The service was great, would definitely return. Nice location by the canal.

What a Bland boring pub !!!
It's been some years since I last visited this place & it's gone so down hill.Yes it's right on the canal and there is a restaurant which we never used on this occasion ( nor did anybody else by the looks of things!! ) The decore is set for people to enter staight from the tow path covered in sh*t without causing damage to the pub.
We drove there and met friends with a boat who had mored near by. But never again. It was over priced and freezing cold with large metal radiators the kind that used to be in hospitals and schools which were Not on. I had to go to the car and get a coat from the boot to wear whilst in this place. There was an open fire which was Not lit.
To say the place as gone down hill would be an understatement !!
