Comfortable bistro style pub where I was advised to eat. Marston 61 Deep and Ringwood Best (Razorback) and Woods Shropshire Lad were on, had the latter which was perfectly acceptable.

Very nice food last night, it's just a shame the Beer is only average. Brakspear last night was not at its best other choice was Jennings Bitter.

Tried a pint of Websters Bitter that was on offer at 1.99 and found out why - obviously been on too long and was well past its best. The average age of the staff seems to be about 12 - also heard comments coming from the "Cellar" while coming from the toilets.. "no! don't do that.. you shouldn't shake the barrel to see how much is left cos all the crap from the bottom gets stirred up!"... good job one of the kids knows about beer... I didn't stay for another!

Much nicer since my previous visits. Good pints of Deuchars and Ironbridge Brewery Four Candles...no Four Candles! (classic 2 Ronnies). Place seems to be more homely now and well worth a visit for the selection of cask ale.

L shaped pub with a large outdoor seating area at the front. Obviously food led as almost every table had condiments on it. Its one of those bare brick type of places that either work well or just look stupid, this one works pretty well. Theres a separate dining room round the corner from the bar that looked very nice. Theres a quiz machine in the area to the right of the bar along with a few comfortable chairs. They have special offers on during the week as I found out when I was charged 2 for my pint of Hancocks HB, what a bargain, and it was a nice pint as well. They also had The Reverend James from Brains on which was more expensive. The landlord was friendly enough when I arrived and the other people in were a decent bunch. Its a pleasant pub and Ill certainly call in next time Im in Ironbridge.
