This does not feel like a central London pub, but more like a suburban village pub. Inside it is rather cozy, the staff are more than pleasant and as a result the typical customer are pensioner couples sipping gin and tonics politely. I expected the local vicar to arrive at any moment for a half pint of mild. So this is not a pub with alot of action, I imagine it rarely if ever gets busy. But it is an oasis of tranquillity, serving good quality pints of reasonably priced beer for the area.

Good pub with a good 'local' feel. I go to a social group which has talks in the upstairs room and so have occasion to be in there at least monthly and I've always found it a cosy and personable place.

The King's Head is a gem - a friendly, well-run, cosy, unpretentious oasis, yards from the vogueish artifice of Marylebone High Street. The beer (Greene King ) is well-kept. There are quiet, outdoor tables on Westmoreland Street.

Spent nearly three weeks as a resident tourist in the Marylebone district.
We were totally turned off by most of the high street pubs as they were loud, standing room only, happy hour places � stumbled upon Kings Head on a Sunday afternoon and was immediately taken in by the true locals who make Kings Head their pub �home�. Publicans Mel and Cathy have different specialties � his is beer hers is wine. Over the course of my time in the area I became a regular visiting about every other day. Sunday dinner was great (had the roast beef with classic Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings) and met so many wonderful people. If you are looking for a real pub home Kings Head is wonderful. Mel and Cathy have been owners/proprietors for about a year at this time and are truly the heart of the place. If you visit tell them Deborah from Florida says hello, stay late, and ask Mel to play his personal favorites music mix. Don�t forget to take photos of the historic plaque outside�it is funny that the site was the home of John Wesley.

The king's Head has recently been taken over by a new manager with a new chef. The quality of the beer and food has gone up by leaps and bounds. A very warm and friendly pub with lots of laughs and jokes from the landlord. Sunday lunch is a marvel but book early or you will be eating in the bar not the upstairs restaurant, it's that popular. Prices are reasonable with regard to the area and the regulars are quite welcoming. Well worth a visit if you are in the area there is one problem and that is the size of the pub. A small pub with a big heart.

Was in here last night for a quicky, and found the place ameniable enough, bloke on the Piano, and locals having a sing-song passed the time very well. Better than some of the stone-faced, up-themselves type of pubs that are on the main High St.
Local piss-head was hilariously drunk, could barely stand, he could sing though, as could a few of the others, much better than Some alkies singing.

that horrible old Canadian facist Hughie Green used to drink their, a good argument for non attendence, even though he has been dead for a number of years, his insincere smile beams down at you, courtesy of a signed photograph handing from the wall, not such a bad pub a little bit cliqeie, the locals think they are in a private drinking club, and look at non regulars with a note of disdain, however it wins points due to it's location.

The Kings Head is a pretty small boozer found off the main drag of Marylebone High Street.
I was in here on a sunny Friday evening for a few Stellas that weren�t anything to write home about. The barmaid serving behind the bar, that is huge in comparison to the area of the pub, was friendly enough.
There are a few benches outside and even though I didn�t venture upstairs I did notice the signs for it being a seated no smoking area (this may be a restaurant though and I didn�t see anyone going up or coming down).
I definitely wouldn�t go out of my way to drink here, but if I was walking past with a few minutes to kill I might pop in.

frozen potato mash, deep fried bangers, chemical gravy, stale bread. that is what I got when I came in for lunch on a monday six weeks ago. Sure its cheap, but you get what you pay for. A friend of mine said the specials are great but on this day they consisted of Sundays left overs. I was told it was the chefs day off, so I dont know who was in the kitchen, but they shouldnt be. Nice barmaid though

A proper pub. Great fish and chips. It is small though and can get very smokey.

Definitely one of the better pubs around Marylebone (which isn't saying much). Comfortable and civilised place for a pint.

Visited for the first time a few weeks back for a quiet drink. Scattering of punters ranging from innoffensive old boys who had set in for the day, big family having an impromptu get together and a couple of cosy couples.
Friendly barman, comfortable punters and nice relaxed vibe. A good place for nursing a pint away from the usual Marylebone crowd.

Good pub with good beer. Check out the Fish and Chips � largest I�ve ever seen. Good Sunday lunches too, you might need to book if between 12-2pm.

A super pub. Smallish inside with a couple tables outside. Very personable staff and good food. Prices are great. Nice place to meet a friend of two for a pint and enjoy.
