Classic student pub but had real ale on to our surprise at £1.99 a pint so we were happy.Oddly enough it was the best kept pint of the day trip we had. Nice little pub en route to Bramall Lane.

It's a students' pub sure enough, but a very friendly one, and does sometimes have real ale.

Meals are, unsurprisingly, very good value, and if you go with the right attitude you can enjoy the place whatever your age.

Standard students pub next to University. Handy enough but no ales available when last visited.

Bland, light-wood 'Scream' pub that also manages to attract a lot of away fans every Saturday either Sheffield side are at home. Presumably this is down to the pub's proximity to the station, as the prices are nothing special and the beer not great (though good to see Stones back on handpull when I went in recently). However, still probably best to leave this one for the students, who are the main clientele; interestingly, I once saw one drink a pint of his friends' (yes, that IS plural) urine for a bet in this pub.

Garish and tacky scream pub next to the Hallam uni (city centre). The usual bog-standard lagers available. Quickly fills up due to its size and, for that reason and many more, not worth bothering with.

Hand pulled Stones was OK, I'm sure it was keg only when I was last there so a welcome improvement

A pub with no beer - The Stones (hand pump) expired just as I arrived and the alternative on tap had run dry.... To top it off the Jukebox didn't even have Mouldy Old Dough! Great if yer a student tho.

Friendly student chain pub close to the train station.

A bog standard chain pub with tatty furniture, sticky tables and floor and its range of drinks seems to be based on the pile it high sell it cheap philosophy.

There are much better places nearby like the Red Lion and Showroom, so why do people go to ths place other than because it is open slightly later than some other placs.

Q, how amny students can u fit into a pub the size o a match box?

A. Too many!!

But my housemate (not a student) claims its the best pub in sheff??

It has the best jukebox in the area. Just about makes up for the gasless lager

Went there before we played Rotherham a few seasons back. Was a lovely pub. I left my jumper in there before the match and it was still there after. Now that says a lot for the people of the pub and its clientele. NICE!

A very small pub always crammed with Students. Can get interesting on a Saturday as it's close to the station and is often converted into a battle ground for football fans

Not bad... cheap, pool, decent food, what more could you ask for.
