All Ilkley brews on . Seems an increasing thing with London ale pubs to keep all pale or golden beers and maybe a stout and omit to serve any classic English bitters.

Still a good beer pub - was busy but we discovered there is a seldom used upstairs room when it is a bit full downstairs. You do have to negotiate two flights of stairs to reach it though.

Proper pub feel - outside and inn. Friendly Bar Staff.

Multiple rooms inside - a bar, a more formal area with leather wing back chairs and a canteen style room with long tables and several posters to the art of brewing.

Unusual Black IPA from Fynes Ales in good condition.

Good across the board selection of ales on from Stout to Bitters to Pales - albeit at a price.

Probably the only chain that actually does pubs properly. Has a pub feel and sells top notch ales.

Went early evening when it was less busy.

Trendy? Yes! But with plenty of decent beers albeit at a high price available. Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby, Anspach Best & Roosters Assassin were three of the ales on offer when I visited the place.

Have to say that my friend and I in our mid 50s were above the average age for the clientele who were using the place.

Impressed by the staff who knew their stuff.

Agree completely with previous reviewer. The beer and food were expensive but good quality on both counts. Well worth a visit and you can always nip in the wetherspoons first for a cheap round.

Noisy, busy, young, expensive, late - all adjectives that you couldn't apply to the pubs I normally visit but you can here. But this is London and you've got to embrace it! I started off with cask pints of Five Points Derailed Porter at £4.25 and Clouded Minds Black Pike at £4.95 (other cask ales were £3.75) before moving on to some of the numerous keg beers which started at £3.40 for a half, ending up with something super-strong (but not the 13% stuff which was over £8 for a pint!). We were amongst the last to leave at 1am which says it all I think..

Excellent Craft &Co. pub, rather older style than some of the ex-shop Craft outlets (Brixton), comfy seats old pictures etc. The place evokes a Gentlemans club.

Standard Craft beer excellence, in a more 'pubby' back street pub. Adventurous cask and keg range. Mostly friendly staff, chirpy manager and delightfully camp and enthusiastic assistant doing a brilliant job. Youngish crowd with one or 2 older regulars. Food menu is 'posh' McDonald's, no complaints there as surrounding area awash with restaurants and eateries of all kinds. Whether intended or not, pub can be reached by Bus route 38 which links to the chain's branches in Victoria, Holborn and Clerkenwell. One word of warning, don't bring a coat unless it's cold or wet outside - there's nowhere to hang it, like at all branches in the chain. Come on, how about a few clips under tables or hooks up somewhere?

Amazed to see this pub added within a month of my suggesting it - well done site admin! Tried to get into their sister place in Clerkenwell on a late Saturday afternoon in early March, but as the place was choc-a-bloc full decided to try here instead - when we arrived it was busy (but not as busy as Clerkenwell) & we found seats (hooray!). A good selection of ales, cider and perry on draught/gravity plus fridges of numerous bottles. Had a couple of pints of something 7%+ from Fyne Ales (smashing!) and would've stayed for a bite & tried others but we'd got dinner included in our hotel package. A solid 9/10 from me.
