Great that this has reopened. Hate to see closed pubs and a village without a pub is barely a village at all. It's a bit shiny and gastro. Looks not unlike my kitchen in fact (on a much larger scale and with people I don't know in it). I asked the bar maid what it was like before? "Dark and sticky" she replied. Can't help feeling it could have done with some of the intimate dark sticky areas being left in place, it is a bit open plan and white and Farrow & Ball painted and trendy Wendy (it's got that wallpaper that looks like book shelves, that's how trendy Wendy). Still, if the alternative is a closed pub, then who's complaining. Harveys and Adnams on tap. Staff were spot on! Food is good, pub classics for around a tenner or just under, above average quality by some margin, bellow average portion sizes praps.

Opened as the Milk House, much better than before (though that wouldn't be hard). A bit gastropub-ish but then these are the only ones that make any money. Not too expensive, Harveys still there and with Adnams too, didn't try the rest. Worth another visit at least.

For over 100 years The Bull Inn has enjoyed tremendous success with a fantastic reputation for great food, friendly service and good times. Known for its consistently brilliant service and village community passion, however the last 2 years has been a disaster. The pub has turned into a family pub, but not a family pub as you and I would know it?
Basically the Pub has become I must keep my family and friends employed establishment. Fatal, The once discerning diners from far and wide. who once graced this historic venue visit no more!
The Bull Inn is terminal, only one person in the pub really cares, the rest are passengers, the service is beyond poor, the attitude of the boys behind the bar let alone the the male partner landlord is akin to "What Ever, I Dont What To Be HERE!" Whatever you�re looking for in a pub you can be sure of a warm welcome anywhere but here, but if you want to share in an unforgettable dining experience visit the BULL.

New landlord, modest revamp inside (although the new seating is very 'inefficient'), decent Harveys.

I agree with the last 3 reviews. It doesn't surprise me that they want to sell. They don't want to be there, except perhaps for the mistakes made when charging for drinks.
Average Harvey's Sussex. Very disappointing visit.

A good garden and location. Five hand pumps, but only three beers. Very average beers as well.
It could be so good, but is actually soooooo average.

Came in here awhile back when waiting to collect our grub from the excellent tandoori opposite. Good traditional public bar-freindly locals and staff-well kept Harveys.Interesting architectural features underneath the more recent additions.

Pity about the TV but otherwise a good pub for food and drink.
