Another must visit pub for its authenticity.

Unchanged in years - lovely long thin bar with ornate woodwork. Nooks and crannies. Neon advertisied lounge on the first floor, with a external smoking terrace.

Absolutely timeless.

Returned this summer and just as it was 4 years ago! A Fine old pub on a side street away from the Grafton noise.

Another pub not turned into a sport bar. the place was once a merchant store and most of its past is still intact!
Enjoy this pub just off of Grafton St.

This is another wonderfully unspoilt pub right in the heart of the city and is pretty much as I remember it from my first visit in 1983. The interior is dark and atmospheric - as you enter the pub there is a large snug on the left with service to the bar, dark wood partitions create separate drinking spaces along the bar and there is a funny little room on the right that I sat in all those moons ago. Beyond the bar and a corridor is a larger room. Behind the bar is a fine old cash register and a large bureau with lots of little drawers.
Drinks served are the usual suspects (see previous reviews).
A lovely pub not to be missed.

Decent bar but, like the rest of Dublin, dull and synthetic beer lets it down.

Good pub for an weekday afternoon drink, when there's usually only a handful of (local) people in,and the attention of most punters (and some staff)is the latest horse race on the box -a trait of many Irish pubs-Now I know why Cheltenham does good business!....Love the mahogany interior in this pub and the partitions, including the small snug at the front-a thing it has in common with my usual ports of call round here...Toners and Doheny&Nesbitts...The latter being my personal favourite Dublin pub

Very crowded. Nice beer. Few too many tourists. Decent place to bring some foreign friends if you want to give them a faux-authentic Irish pub.

A cool pub, walking upstairs you'd think you were drinking in someones house. Good atmosphere & a decent pint-can get really full

The greatest pub in the history of the universe. Always jammers but curiously; always room to find a place to sit.

Always have a great time when I'm in this place. Can't imagine it without the cigarette smoke, mind.

One of the city's best watering holes.A buzzing atmosphere prevails here, lots of cosy snugs and secluded drinking areas.

Accessible by any bus route going across town, and also takes Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

The pub is definitely worth a visit, and apparently it has not changed since I last visited in 1999.
