Good day Cheekymrt...! I thought it was time I replied to your latest message! Sorry for any confusion last year (...or was it 2013..) i may have mixed you up with another pub! Well done for continuing to show the live football, and other sporting events. That is important, and there's not enough pubs doing that in the area. Well done. While I've got the 'mike', can I mention a couple of things. Sports fans, and in particular footy fans like their lager. Kronenburg is ok, but a choice of premium lagers would be nice. "Meantime" beers would be splendid !! Now, you advertise outside the pub as being a "Sports bar", showing 'live' sport, etc. And that's great. And the last Saturday that I was in your pub, there were a dozen blokes (mainly chaps..) avidly watching the football on the TV screens. So, why...was the surly young lady serving behind the bar, put out, when someone asked for the music to be turned off and the sound for the football to be turned on...!?!? And, why wasn't the sound for the game already on, for the start of the match...?!? Ok, she might not like football, but the pub was fairly full with blokes who wanted to see the game! I do hope she's not going to be like that for the cup final, or other major sporting event..!! Keep up the good work!

Teejay apologise for my delay. Yes I believe we are talking about the same pub. Opposite the Clarence hotel, by the traffic lights and opposite The Criterion.
Since our last communication, I have introduced a third real ale, I now have 5 large TV’s still have Sky Sport's and BT Sport's, Racing UK, At The Races, Our lunch food menu is taking off, we've started Poker on Thursdays and this may be good news to some people but I am testing the waters by removing the pool table.
Although I hope you know all this already.

I do hope we are talking about the same pub though, on the corner of Peascod and Clarence Rd. Goodness, I feel bad if I have mislead custom from your welcoming tavern...!! I used to use 'Crosses Corner' specifically for the sport. Did you close for a refurb or something this year...? TJ

Please ignore the previous comment by TeeJay dated the 19th March 2013. As the Landlord of the pub i can assure you sport is still being shown and has never stopped. We have also NOT closed down.
As i am righting this i might mention that we offer good pub food through lunch and during busy/major sporting events.
We also have Open Mic Night every Thursday night, Live music on a Friday night and an early evening Live music set on Sunday.
And during May i will be hosting my first Beer festival with a BBQ, lets hope the sun comes out and look forward to seeing you all there

They don't show live sport anymore! They don't show anything anymore...! The Crosses Corner is no more, its closed down. :o(

The Crosses Corner - (unusual name for a pub)! One of the few bars near the shopping centre which shows 'live' sport (football/rugby/cricket/tennis,etc) so useful to know when the other half's on a shopping spree..! Popped in to catch-up on the England cricket Ashes score the other day...needn't have bothered...the bloody Ozzies were on 675 or something...!! Stick to footy guys! Teejay

used to be a great pub. now run by a grumpy, opinionated old git with staff that don't speak english. will not be going back again. shame.

Nice little pub in the town centre. Rugby on the large telly was the centerpiece when we came in. The only ale on was Theakstons Best, sandwiched between some huge shiny lager fonts and frankly it was looking very nervous.Ok, for for a swifter when you're out shopping.

Aahh, another pub for my 'Windsor Castle' crawl..! Great little find, down Peascod Street (that main shopping street leading down from Queen Victoria's statue, in front of Windsor Castle itself)...keep going down-hill, passed 'Windlesora' (don't go in there, unless you're under 20yrs..)! and you'll find the 'Crosses Corner' right on that busy little crossroads junction. Small, but beautifully formed bar. Mainly tables & wooden seating, but neat & tidy. They also show live sport on a couple of tv screens, if you're in the mood for that. (Not many bars in Windsor central actually show the footy/rugger). 7/10 TJ

used to be briliant locals pub back in the day. but all the bar staff left and were replaced with non english speaking ones. nothing wrong with that its just lost all its charcter

OK food, OK ales, OK prices. Does have Sky Sports going for it and some outdoor seats.

I am the founder of CARAP.The Campaign Against Renaming Ancient Pubs. So this pub is really the Hope. It is opposite the Criterion. I think they used to name pubs after Victorian battleships as well as battles ( Alma ,Sebastopol) Keep the old names and boycott the changlings. Actually pub alright

went in here with some friends the friday night after the introduction of extended drinking hours. we arrived at 5 to midnight thinking that they'd be open till 1am (like the other pubs we'd been in in windsor that night). they served us some dodgy ipa and then 2 minutes later came round and hassled us to drink up. won't be going back. 2/10.

Used to be a good locals pub, now turned into a chain style cheap friend food and drop out clientele type bar. A loss.

Better than average, fairly inoffensive pub on the edge of the town centre. A handy first port of call on the way into town, or a great place to avoid shopping if with the Mrs.
