The grovel is a very popular watering hole for me and my friends. It's cheap, cheerful, plenty of people always in, but just avoid the bar manager.

Alan O'Dunstan (bar manager) is an absolute legend - just dont put your feet on the chairs - or challenge him to a game of pool, as you will lose.

Fantastic pub - cheap beer, grungy furnishings, great time had by all at all times! :D Definately worth it!
Oh, the pub quizzes are a must for all!

Very cheap beer! Used to spend a lot of time here as a student, it was a good place to go before clubbing. 5 pool tables is outstanding as well.
