please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Yes I would l - but not eight years after a pub was closed, and posted as such.

Why tell us again, and that it's now a kebab shop - or whatever!?

I beg to differ - wouldn't you want to know if you intend making a special journey somewhere whether or not a place you want to visit is still open?

This site is about trading pubs, their beers and character. Not ones that have been replaced/rebuilt as something else - or demolished.

Thank you, Ellisref.

It's always helpful to know what finally happens to these closed down places, and whether there is any likelihood of their opening as pubs again. In this case it would appear to be minimal.

There's also the general interest. We've had everything from babywear shops to Buddhist temples.

Now a private house, still run down.

This pub is closed and boarded up. However, the next door Station Hotel, in the GBG but does not appear on this site, is well worth a visit for both food & drinks.

For me this is just an OK sort of pub. It is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly. Only one hand pump, currently Bombardier, which was pretty good. So too were the landladys homemade chips.

It is not the sort of pub that I want to rush back to, but equally, it will not be a pub that I will avoid when I visit Worksop again.

I'm glad this pub has been turned around again.
in my youth, it was always a pleasant place, with good food and a nice selection of real ales.
its a small-fronted building, but goes way,way back inside!

The Pub is under new Manangement and has undergone a refurb. The pub is looking nice and clean. The new staff are friendly and were very welcoming. We had a Sunday Dinner and all the food was home made it was absolutely delicious then choc fudge cake to follow. The menu is huge with lots of choice. We shall be returning again very soon. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and we found this a very pleasant trip.

A no nonsense edge of town local's pub. On my visit they had 2 real ales and plenty of lagers/keg stuff.

They have a great lunchtime menu -11 inch baguettes for less than 3 and 3 or 4 different curries for 5.50.

Well worth a visit on the way into or out of town from the train station (100 yds away)
