please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I was back in the Pheasant for another works do on Friday evening. The place was heaving as usual. There's a mixture of locals and people staying in the airport hotels. The ale choice is now down to just two - Pride & Doom Bar. I stuck to Aspall's Cider. We migrated to the restaurant area which opens at 6pm. The food is always reliable here and portions are large. It's not cheap though. You can also eat in the bar, if you can find a table. Probably the best pub in the Heathrow area. But it doesn't really have much competition.

Last night was my first visit to the Pheasant in quite a few years. I've only previously been to the restaurant area, which is the large barn-like building. The bar itself is also quite sprawling, with outdoor drinking spilling out to an undercover marquee, to the front and towards the car park. London Pride, Doom Bar & 6X were the ales. So I wouldn't return for those. But the attraction here is the meals. They have a varied menu with two separate special boards. Portions are large and it's quite good value for money, considering its location near Heathrow's hotels and its captive audience. You order at a small server after queuing for up to 20-30 minutes. But food comes much quicker. Decent option if you're looking for food (and a real ale) in the Heathrow area.

Good beer with always a couple of choices of well kept ale, food is great with massive portions. The tuna steak was amazing! This place is always really busy so it can be hard to get a table, having said that I have never failed to get seated yet. Staff vary considerably with some being really friendly and polite whilst some don't seem that bothered. Well worth a visit

I live near this pub, and I visit occasionally. The food is good, and the portions are huge, and the London Pride has been in excellent condition every time I've been in.

Nice looking pub outside which offers a respite from any of the anonymous Hotel bars nearby to Heathrow. Once inside, it's fair to say the place needs some decorating - the wallpaper was ripped in several places and the carpet was very well wotn to the point that in places it must be a near health hazard.
On plus side, the London Pride was okay and the food was reasonable, well priced and came in very large portions.
If they can clean the place up before it really goes downhill, it is worth a pint before that flight or if you are staying in any of the hotels nearby.

Very good pub if you're staying in one of the Heathrow hotels nearby. London Pride was excellent and a very reasonable 3/pint, especially for the area. Food was also excellent and extremely good value - the portions are huge. ( I had scampi - Imagine a plate one foot square and divide into quarters. One quarter was scampi, one quarter was salad and two quarters were chips, all piled high.) It would probably have been enough for two people, so bear this in mind when ordering.

Friendly and efficient bar staff serving excellent pints of Fuller's London Pride and Guinness, which I tried on my visit.

Only downside was a gaggle of British Airways managers blocking the middle of the floor and bar area while they boasted about their 'projects', 'targets' and 'presentations'. They seemed to resent having to move to allow people to get to the bar or loos. That said. it's not the pub's fault some of its customers lack common courtesy! Still worth a visit for a devent pint.

I visited this pub to have some dinner as I was meeting my parents who stayed over night at a nearby hotel. Instead of dining in the hotel, we decided to try a local pub for a more cosy meal. From the moment we arrived, we had to wait to be seated. But after ordering only a main meal, we were left waiting for over 1 hour for the meal to arrive. After complaining several times, I discussed with the manager who told me that because we only ordered a main meal we had to wait longer!! Also no one else seemed to be complaining so he didn't understand why I was upset for waiting over 1 hour to receive our meal. When it eventually arrived, one of the meals (duck) was served cold, so it had to be removed and reheated. The other dishes were not great either. The evening and meal was ruined and we lost our appetite. I would never go back to this pub again for the rude service, the ignorance to the customer and lack of decent cooking.

I had to spend a week staying in the Radisson Edwardian on Bath Row while working in the Heathrow area. Not fancying spending 4 nights sitting in the overpriced hotel bar or eating in the stuffy restaurants I used this website to check out the pubs in the nearby vicinity. Well the Pheasant came up highly rated and just 5 mins walk from the hotel, so I decided that on the Monday evening thats where I would head for my dinner. Sitting outside the aircraft noise was awful but the Pheasant has a great range of ale on offer, with London Pride at 3 a pint. Lots of TVs to watch Wimbledon highlights and the Euro 2008 matches. Huge menu of food available to order service was good and food quality was better than average and the portions a little on the large side. Pub is pleasant on the inside, bar staff friendly and happy to help, setting up a tab was easy. Couple of nights latter I took some colleagues who were staying in the same hotel they were all impressed and not happy with me that I had not dragged them down to the Pheasant. In summary if you staying in Hotel Row, get out for a walk down to the Pheasant and drink good beer and good pub food in a pleasant environment.

On a recent nostalgia trip visited this pub on a Friday lunch and enjoyed several well kept pints of Fullers' London Pride. Food was decent if a trifle death by chips over load.

Given some of the horror stories these day with the way pubs serve London Pride this pub should be commended for its failure to supply diacetyl.

One niggle would be that the bar area seems set up mainly to serve food to couples rather than for drinkers.

Fantastic food, huge portions and very reasonabley priced! Brilliant staff that are always there to give you helping hand to make a choice from the very extensive food offerings.
Sunday roasts where you feel like you've been eating forever and it just goes on and on!

Pretty good food and beer pub round the back of the hotel row of Heathrow. The corporadas who own the big hotels would like you to believe they have a captive audience; the Pheasant would like you to know otherwise.

I have visited the Pheasant on loads of occasions, just love it there. If you are in the area have a look in. So many faces from accross the world, a real multi cultural pub with everyone getting on.

good food and plenty of women which is very rare to find in harlington .

Have recently returned to the Pub after a couple of years of living out of the area. The place is still brilliant, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The only difference is that there is a late licence on Fridays and Saturdays, I think till around 2am. Recommend popping in if in the Heathrow area.

The best pub in the area (and surrounding area's) by a country mile! Great beer, awesome food, good bar staff, and a superb atmosphere. Friday and Saturday nights are 'Disco Phez' nights... but it's not your usual 16-20 year old chavs that fill the place. It's a great mixture of ages and a good time is had by all. 10 out of 10 in my books everytime. If you haven't tried the food at the Pheasant yet... DO IT!!!

Been in this pub twice. First time for a roast dinner that was absolutely the b*llocks, it tasted just like a home cooked roast not a normal pubs dinner 10/10 for that, bit expensive but you pay for quality and was so big none of our 8 people could eat the whole of it. Second time a Friday night dinner after work which again couldn't eat it all due to the size but once again it was a very nice dinner then stayed on for the diso pub is open till 2 which is good and there was no hint of trouble even though all of our party live in different areas around the airport!

Great Beer, Great Food, Great Bar Staff need I say more, however the highlight of the weekend is "CLUB PHEZ" it's definitely the place to be on a Friday and Saturday night, listening to the fabulous sounds of none other than DJ Fergie on his burning wheels of steel, While having a few "quite" drinks with close friends enjoying the delectable flavours of Absinthe or maybe be a bit adventurous and try their Mount Gay Rum, with a splash of Coka Cola !

Oh yes, The Pheasant is definitely the place for me, 10 out of 10 everytime !!!!

The Pheasant is a place that's trying to discover itself as a disco, while masked in pub clothing. The early evening is for locals to get together for a pint and a laugh. Perhaps a match on tv. good atmosphere and welcoming!! However, after 9:00pm the DJ fires up and The Pheasant becomes a disco, which appeared to me to drive away all the locals that know a thing or two of pubs and in came the 18 - 25 year olds! (Along with the tuxedo henchmen as the muscle!)

Tpugh to rate, but I gave it a 7 for both sides of the mask!

Loads of teles. OK pub. Caution advised though. There's a barman called Dave who likes country music, and Friday's and Saturday's are a bit of a magnet for badly dressed women the wrong side of 40 terrorising the menfolk. other than that, great! open late, too....

Really really good pub and restaurant. It's famous for it's food. Nice lively crowd on the weekends and a nice chilled out atmosphere during the week. Staff are friendly.

Been for (family) dinners at the restaurant a few times now and always feel they go for quantity rather than quality.. fine if you go want to stuff yourself with fatty meat, potatoes and deep-fried things from frozen, but if not, avoid. Weird interior in the restaurant, can be quite claustrophobic if you end up in the eaves!

Seriously good pub & Restuarant. Have to see and try for your self. Service and place is second to none. If near heathrow have a look in.

This pub is a good example of all things British. It is one of the best that I have been to. They offer excellent food and the atmosphere and ambience is the best

Tewaria - 3 Feb 2005 14:18
Pleasant pub, bar staff attentive. Ordered a pint of London Pride which was served chilled, so did not have any taste. One of the better pubs in the area, if staying near Heathrow Airport worth seeking out, better than the 3 Magpies on the Bath Road.

Catch it while you can - Once the third runway is built, this pub will be reduced to rubble.

Quite a decent pub actually, with a good menu.
