Not impressed

I was expecting more of this pub, after seeing it is in the current Good Beer Guide. It's a small and friendly locals pub with an L-shaped bar. It's set in a nice location, overlooking a common. However the beer selection was poor with only Youngs Bitter & Sharps Doom Bar available. Nice pub. But whilst the Doom Bar was ok, I would prefer a better selection.

I really liked it here on my one visit a few months ago. Looks like a 1960s pub with old boys drinking real ale. 8/10

Now having lived in the area for the last three years and only tried The windmill this summer I can safely say this is the only pub in Mitcham. Will have a drink in. Very reasonalbly priced lager for my friends and always descen youngs bitter and one guest ale

Closed Down and is up for sale and redelopement.Cannot see this pub reopening.

The windmill has been under new ownership since December! Finally we have been able to bring the cameraderie of old back to the pub. The new landlord goes by the name of Kamran, however the pub is managed by an old face, that would be familiar to all of those who have entered in the last 20+ years, in Pat. I assist in any way possible as I have managed The Grove in South Wimbledon and now work in the Windmill. So If you are ever in the area and fancy anything from a pint of Fine Ale to a quick cheeky lager at lunch get in and give us a visit! Also to those in the area on Sundays come in and enjoy the only pub in the Mitcham that still offers customers free food on the bar that ranges from roast potatoes to sausages aand many things in between!, as well as great pints such as Timothy Taylor's "Landlord" and a variety of lagers there's something for everybody!

This pub could be a nice cosy little pub on Mitcham Common BUT the garden is used for smokers, the smokers are in and out constantly as the door opens the smoke wafts in this little pub and really is quite unacceptable. The smokers then walk into the pub reaking of stale fags, YUK and they say they want to serve food, oh no ! Shame because the garden is a loverly little garden which catches the sun in the summertime. The pub is ruined by these smokers. The pub is clicky, smokers clicky. Low rating due to this smokers venue. The recent smokers policy should apply, then the Windmill will be a much happier place for all.

Probably the best pub in mitcham, not that that is any recommondation. The beer isn't the best but for a quite sup, okay.Has been on the market for months now but no one is buying....i think that says it all.

Strange clicky pub with uncomfortable seats. The garden is secluded and gets the sun.The beer is so so but regular guest beers make up for it.

Before entering the pub I noticed the sign stating that the lease was up for sale. There was only 1 other person in throughout my visit (a Monday evening about 7pm). The music was loud, the TV was also turned up and the pint I drank wasn't particularly good. Overall it was a memorable visit for all the wrong reasons - I'll remember not to go there again!
