user reviews of Trinity, Harrow

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Quirky, unusual boozer with regulars to match - friendly though, always seem to fall into chat with other drinkers or the landlord if I go in on my jack (unusual for this area). I don't visit that often but whenever I do, they seem to be dishing out free food, which is a real plus point.

Not an ale drinkers pub but, frankly, there's not one boozer down the hill that serves a passable pint of bitter. You've got to go to the Fuller's ones up the hill for that.

Friendly enough place, bit tatty around the edges. One ale on - Pride at 3 a pint. One room downstairs with a big screen over the bar. Larger room upstairs which has live music and clubs.

This pub could be great. The customers are young and often rocky/gothy and so a generally friendly bunch. The surroundings are individual and interesting with bands playing regularly upstairs. The music played here is excellent and I would visit here more often if the beer prices were more reasonable. All drink is expensive and the real ale choice is limited. Its a shame a good pint seems not to be a priority!

It would be nice if the drinks were not extornionate. This is Harrow afterall

this place has serious potential, I'll get the nitty gritty out of the way first, the taps are horrendous, wouldn't drink a pint out of here (this can be easily rectified) its on the small size (but this can be utilised in my opinion, small can sometimes but just right:D) it has an upstairs area for bands and DJs and I have to say I have seen some awesome up and coming bands here. Clientele is mix but generally on the young side and rocky, indie types (which in my opinion isn't a bad thing).
one or two bar staff are diamonds in the rough, really approachable and you can hold a good conversation with, one of the door staff has a severe attitude problem, which is pacified but the main doorman and his dog, who is an absolute gem and real character.
In my opinion after a few drinks which on occasion can lead to a desire for a few more after closing time, this is the place to go.

Not enough pumpkins.

A dump and nothing but a dump, dirty, expensive nd in general DISGUSTING.

I prefer this place to many of the other pubs in central Harrow, which are either totally chainy and bland or slightly chavvy and menacing!

Trinity has character- OK it isn't shiny and new but that's why it's unique. You can tell it is going to be a bit rock-y and different as soon as you walk in. The beer is reasonably priced, they do live music and football on a big screen (in such a small pub this means you see a lot).

I've never had any problems with the bouncer (or his dog) who seems very fair and I reckon the 'full of freaks' comment came from someone who is less tolerant of people with alternative looks ... dare I say like a lot of folk in the other pubs nearby!! And for the record I'm not 'alternative' in any way I just believe people have the right to enjoy their beer, their music and their fashion without ignorant comments.

Went here for a drink with work colleagues recently despite the negative comments below. Found it to be pleasant enough, staff were polite AND friendly, drinks were of an average price and there was a good mix of customers, age wise. AND they had REAL ale... Decor upstairs was slightly out there but so what? It's different!
w5lioness - 23 Dec 2008 10:32
this is a sh*t pub ,dirty, expensive, charge stupid money for entry ,pervy bouncer with no teeth, boring, full of freaks, wouldnt recommend
ven2112 - 19 Apr 2008 16:05
Agreat place with a friendly style of service
weston - 23 Apr 2007 15:03
I've been coming here for nearly 5 years. I've made so many friends through many, many nights of drunken frivolity! Shame there's so much R & B - more rock and indie! As for a rating: 8 out of 10 lovecats from me. Change the music and it'll be 10 :)
lovecat72 - 16 Feb 2007 12:25
We go here after or during work. Always great service. No real ale but no where in down town Harrow does!!!

Cant fault it for works drinks!

busjcol3 - 3 Jan 2007 14:09
SORRY! but not my cup of tea!, i've been there a couple of times & put it this way it didnt rock my world. the only gd thing bout this place is the late licence, and thats the only thing!
Georgiebaby69 - 22 Feb 2006 14:28
Best Pub in Harrow. Full Stop. Can't fault it.
mikez - 13 Dec 2005 16:08
My local and I love it!
The staff very nice indeed. Very understanding when you take your brother there on his stag night dressed as Daffyd!

aidywag - 28 Oct 2005 15:03
This place is wicked. I go every tuesday and its rock night. Best night of the week. Can get well packed in there but the door staff are great and any trouble gets sorted out straight away. Drinks are a bit expensive but if u get mashed in the Junction 1st on pound a pint then u should be sweet. Stays open untill 2 most nights. Upstairs is better than the downstairs bar and the dj smacks it. Over 21s on Fri, Sat and Sun. Only 2 toilets so gals expect a long q. Part from that its the best club in Arra.
Scrappyno1 - 12 Oct 2005 18:11
had many a pleasant hour in this boozer. Not for the poor but then there is a tramps across the road.
jolly_bolly - 25 Sep 2005 23:40
Good bar on the whole, though due to it's small size can get uncomfortably busy very quickly.
edrok666 - 15 Aug 2005 19:58
Great place for a late night drink and a bit of dance. Should be in Camden not Harrow (therefore take other other comments on this site with a pinch of salt) and they have bands upstairs on Thurs and Fridays. Staff are fine, yes its over priced but its the only place in Harrow to drink after 11! A variation of music is played and its a friendly place to be.
littlecaf - 18 Jul 2005 21:50
The only place to go in Harrow, lots of diffrent people good DJ's & live bands,A late license over two floors (watch out for the stairs!!) not to many Chavs. Gets very busy 11ish but nice and quite early on.

After reading the comments posted on this website, I was reluctant to go to Trinity for New Years Eve. However, on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Harrow I went. I found that Trinity did not reflect any of the negative comments posted on this site and would encourage anyone who is thinking of going to go!
The doormen were friendly and courteous, the bar staff were willing and efficient and the music was excellent! The people there on New Years Eve were also very honest as in my drunken state I repeatedly dropped my mobile phone and it was picked up and handed back to me everytime.
This New Years was my best yet... thanks of course to my friends that I was with, but also to Trinity and the atmosphere there.

Worse place in Harrow. Dark & Dirty
pubcrawler1979 - 25 Dec 2004 22:40
Overpriced drinks, rude staff, dingy, manky, VERY rude bouncers, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy...

Simon the pieman - 26 Oct 2004 17:17
Look out for "Sticky Balck Plastic" coming soon to Trinity.. from 80s hip hop, through breaks and up-beat funk. No attitude, just funtimes, in a sweaty and packed upstairs room. live breaking and acoustic soul thrown in for good measure. eat some carrots so you can see in the dark.
nic - 16 Sep 2004 17:23
Trinity is far-and-away the only place to go in Harrow. Next to the other anodine chain pubs that litter this suburban hole it stands out a mile. Different mixes of clientele all through the day, and yes, a late license it does very well at changing evening entertainment avoiding becoming stuck in a rut.

I'm normally there for happy hour (5.30-10 Mon-Thu).
Steve - 14 Jul 2004 14:46
Trinity is the place to be the first Thursday of the month. Button Down Beat, playing, Northern Soul, 60's Motown, Ska, Two Tone, Indie, and 60's Garage. A friend of mine is the DJ and its well worth a visit!!
KIZZY - 8 Jul 2004 08:52
triniy depends on the day u go,and what music they play!! sunday is shit as u get to many idoits in there!!!(rude boys) rock nites rock!!!!!!!! and drinks r toooo expensive!!!!
anonymous - 26 Apr 2004 16:35
As already mentioned, used to be good in early days, when it had a basically free spirit. It is small, so the early days Bohemian atmosphere made it feel cozy (this sounds like bollocks, but you know what I mean). Now it is just known as a late bar, and that is it's attraction.
Grant - 20 Mar 2004 01:18
The Trinity is the kind of Pub i would really enjoy if it weren't so damn small!!! my mates Band has played there a couple of times, its good fun, the beer is bloody expensive, but the atmosphere is great!!!
Kyle1479 - 29 Sep 2003 16:48
Trinty is alright, some nights are good some are poor. Bit expensive, but usually good music and open till late. attitude? what are you talking about? hardly
anonymous - 17 Sep 2003 17:25
The music is pretty decent but there are ten men for every woman and the place is too damn small. Harrow is still awaiting its first good bar.
Meister - 4 Aug 2003 10:13
a bit of a dive ..no jumping upstairs in case the ceiling falls in...was that just a rumour? i'm not taking any chances!! only good when my mates bands are playing otherwise generally full of old men and ppl with no teeth!
fran - 29 May 2003 14:38
used to be good when it first opened, back in the day , proper big dark sounds, hippies and rudeboys, get me.go to old gayton , then trinity.
gary - [email protected] - 10 May 2003 02:16
Pedantic, certainly not. Needlessly nit picking perhaps. Mine's a cold Guinness.
shelfy - 25 Apr 2003 09:25
"Attitude" - I don't think I am being pedantic to point out that "attitude" just isn't a sound.
Meet me at the bar and we can have English lessons, nothing too elitist - just the basics.
Crispin - 24 Apr 2003 08:08
Elitist?
"Attitude" is the sound of someone pretending to be important for no obvious reason.
This bar has attitude.
shelfman. - 23 Apr 2003 11:23
It is not pseudo elitist. It is elitist.Stick to weathertramps old boy.
Crispin - 25 Mar 2003 11:39
