Was in here past couple of Thursday's as they've just started doing Karaoke again.... They've got a new guy called Jaxster hosting it, I've seen him at a gig in Greenford before and he's hilarious, the guy ca sing too. Great sound and surprisingly loads of other people singing too. Beer must've been on a promo as I only ended up spending about a tenner all night. as arnie says... I'LL BE BACK!!

Ok, where do I start...

This ' pub ' is one off the most dreadful palces I have EVER drank in. The bar staff is disgusting animals. Extremley rude and have serious attitude problems. The glasses were filthy, and when i approached the manager about this, I was sworn at and told ' if i have a problem then leave '!! The place was full off scum, the food was frozen and I can honestly say, I would never ever step foot in that hell hole AGAIN!

we went for a curry and a pint on monday 2nd aug 10 .............the chicken was still frozen in our meals ,need i say more , all the tables have wonky legs and the seetees are falling to bits ! .........go to wspoons instead!
craneman1971 - 5 Aug 2010 18:15
They have a recessed doorway to the right of the outside of the pub that all the drunks piss in; this runs across the pavement in streaks. Yuk! For this reason alone I have not made it into the pub.

I think the remark below sums up this pub....and I'll repeat it to emphasise how relevant it is in today's climate.....

"have not got a pub called siver turpet it in harrow in nice pub got disco every staurday"

Sheer poetry !

Need to:
a) sort some of the staff out and get them smiling and...

b) Will they ever fix the toilets...

Came here for my birthday last august and again with my girlfriend and our kid last month for a meal. Excellent atmosphere, great staff and superb entertainment. Only just allowing kids in but they are handling their new kids policy brilliantly 10 out of 10 for this place. Whoever says different need to grow up and get a life.
christhedude - 13 Jan 2007 15:30
One of the nicest looking pubs Ive ever seen, spoilt only by the crowd that frequent it on a weekend....pikeys, rudeboys, wannabe gangsters and pramfaces....but I guess thats Harrow for ya!
anonymous - 15 Aug 2006 14:10
I would hate to drink in your pub then Scrappy, it must be a right den of filth with all the low lifes of Harrow cos they ain't in here. The doorstaff's policy means that CHAVS like you and other Di*kheads are kept out. Let me know if there is a pub in Harrow with better looking/classy women in and I would be suprised(or failing that you like mingers - probably closer to the truth)If you wear a football shirt out on a Friday/Saturday night you are sad and must be single. The Poles add a bit of fun on Friday and Saturday with people having a goodtime which is what its all about.DJ's playing a wide variety of decent music. If its Val Doonegan you want go to your local Derby and Joan club. As for upstairs with the pool tables, there never seems to be any complaints so if its peace and quiet you want and a game of pool then F*ck off to Reilys - numpty.

This is clearly the busiest and best pub in Harrow so try opening your eyes and look at whats going on before you make comments that are a load of rubbish. Let me know what you pub is and I will come and rate it for you!!.

Well all I can say iz what a s**t hole. Used to be in there all the time but now it is jus full of d**k heads who think that there 2 bad. Even tho I'm a CHAV I still don't drink in there. They have just refurbished it but now the ppl in there jus look out of place. Its tryna b a wine bar with a pole dancing pole! Upstairs is too small and its too hot. Every one sweats and smells in there and its so cramped in there that u end up with ur face in someones smelly arm pit all night, unless u noc them out. The door staff think that its a club in London and there is a strict dress code now. No ripped jeans and no football shirts. Only good during the day and also the booze bus is not bad.

Best thing about it is the face that it keeps all the little fools out of my pub!

A seriously groovy place now that it has been done up. Loving the music and the bar staff who strutt their sexy moves on the bar. Will definately go again next weekend. Resonable prices, good music to dance to and lots of hot men playing pool. What more could a girl want on a sat nite! All those of u who wrote snotty comments, once you remove your heads from your arse where they have been permenately lodged, you'll see that the place has changed alot and is clearly way to good for you boring farts.
E123 - 8 Sep 2005 13:54
I like this pub most of the time...does get quite busy and you have to wait a while to get to the bar but thats like most places on fri/sat nights. It's better now it's had the refurbishment. Normally the same faces in there each week, plus a mixture of people.
STARC2 - 5 Jun 2005 13:53
I'm glad its closed - a bit of peace and quiet for a few days. This Yates is a den of filth, its just despicable, the bar its self, when its empty is a vile filthy hell hole which is decorated in the taste of Stevie wonder on amphetamines with a set of Tweenies poster paints, the food is poisonous deep fried gruel, 6 odd for some crisps with cheese and bogies on it.

Its is designed to be a teenagers hedonistic paradise, so even on the dole you can still get paralytic 6 nights a week in Yates by taking advantage of some of the generous offers, for example buy one get 17 free for all your friends from brownies. And then have a shag round the back of the shops, where as the front of the shops is reserved exclusively for puking up. For the nimble minded youngsters there is a varied choice of drinks . . . . . red or blue?.

The music is either non existent during the day and early evening or brain achingly loud and rubbish at night, with self important DJs who think they are the best thing since Dave Lee Travis (at least we could change the channel on the radio when he came on). Get a grip you idiotic pr1cks.

The toilets are akin to Harrow bus station and I long ago gave up looking for a lavatory with a door, lock, toilet seat and loo paper. Mind you the carpet is so awful you could use that to wipe your bum and no one would notice.

This place, everyone who drinks in it, the brewery that built it and the licensing body that granted the licence should be sentenced to hard labour. Putting in pool tables and plasma screens isnt going to help, its just toys for the children, how about some rattles and nappies while your doing the re-furb. I have an excellent idea for a new look its called make it back into Woolworths.

I used to live in Harrow around the corner from Yates, and never had I seen sooo much trouble from one pub. Fights, broken bottles and sick everywhere. I was grateful when the coach used to come to pick them up for Zeniths, should have carted them of to an asylum!!!the Chavs and innit boys and girls dressed like prostitutes, who funnily enough all seem to be well under the age of 21, which is what I thought the age was to be able to get into the pub!!!! Doorman please, do your job properly and protect the rest of the area from these low lifes. The pub seems empty and feels like an economy class airport lounge!!!. Bland decor so so food and dreadful music videos playing. Bar staff seem incapable of opening a bottle of wine without either spilling it, or getting most of the cork in the bottle...souless place. Nil poi!!!!

Yates Harrow is closing on Monday 28th February and will be re-opening on Thursday 10th March with a brand new look, upstairs will see the arrival of an American Pool style lounge with 5 tables, while downstairs will have a refreshing new dcor. Plazma screens showing the latest in music video's and terrestial sporting action. Thursday nights see the return of the karoke and your chance to be Wannabe 2005. Weekends see the return of DJ Jarvis on Fridays and DJ Craig on Saturdays. Check out the exciting menu and varried drinks promotions that this pub has to offer. Back with a great atmosphere and great staff. Check out Harrows number 1 place to be.

Really bad pub, full of undergae drinkers and plays the music to loud
anonymous - 25 Dec 2004 22:39
Good Friendly pub, busy, good atmosphere and excellent service. Decent DJ's Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, playing all styles of music.Visit this pub for a good night out in Harrow.
James - 12 Sep 2004 15:48
a good daytime pub but as the sun goes down all hell breaks loose. the lights go down and the music blares and bar from using sign langauge or texting each other its impossible to communicatewith your mates. Bar staff do a good job of keeping up with the demand for alchopops and the doorman are always as frindly as they can be when faced with the prospect of another night of bedlam at closing time.
jo - 29 Jul 2004 21:06
I think this is the greatest pub in harrow. There is no where else where the staff are so friendly and effecient. The atmosphere on weekend night is great everyone is out for a laugh. The doorman are lovely as long as you don't cause any trouble. The same with any pub really. Prices are the some of the best in Harrow, Food is great and they have a lot of good deals on!!! This is the sort of pub that will suit a variety of people. It;s got a great friendly welcoming atmosphere!!!! It's great!!! We enjoyed the sexy doctors and nurses theme it was an original idea that went down well!!! Keep up the good work
Kelly & co - 8 Jun 2004 14:26
i dont like the comment about the doormen being rude dickheads, there not at all, how dare you, your rude for not saying it to there face's, the dj can have a good night and bad i admit, the atmosphere is ok, better than it was 2 years ago.
i have had the pleasure of meeting miss castle (assistant manager) she is a delight and a a huge credit to the company. WELL DONE!
SPARKY - 7 Jun 2004 15:34
I like miss castle she is a fox, the food is quite good, the atmosphere on a night is quite intense.
the staff are nice (especially the yorkshire people)the prices are the best in the area.
sparky - 7 Jun 2004 15:03
"the door men happen to be very nice friendly guys, they may appear rude if you cause trouble and they have the need to throw you out! Try coming in with less of an attitude yourself and you might find them more pleasent", urm ok then - the doormen are renound for being rude and ignorant. Thats not just my opinion, its the same with a lot of peeps i know, but hey with all the troublemakers in there i guess they have to give the impression 'dont mess'. Secondly are you trying to suggest i have an attitude problem? when i go out, i go out to have a drink and a a laugh - thats it! so my attitude is pretty damm good thanks!
Mr.KGB - 18 May 2004 23:49
Oh the humanity. This place was recently overhauled. What they should have done is haul this place, and its Kev and Sharon clientele, into the fiery bowels of the Earth. If you need to drink in Harrow then go up the hill to 'The Castle' or 'Cafe-cafe'. Places like this should be razed.
Meister - 4 Aug 2003 16:54
Made the mistake of going out here one Saturday night & endured possibly the worst night I've ever spent in a pub! The place was full of kids, the DJ played one non-garage/R'n'B tune all night, and everyone left at 10pm to catch the coach to Destiny in Watford! Don't do it!
Mark - 30 May 2003 15:14
a typical kev's hang out.
rob - 12 May 2003 14:14
I disagree, the door men happen to be very nice friendly guys, they may appear rude if you cause trouble and they have the need to throw you out! Try coming in with less of an attitude yourself and you might find them more pleasent. Agreed though some of the people who drink in there are rude aggresive and selfish and unfortunatly they give the rest a bad name.
Me of harrow too. - 1 May 2003 16:23
Not bad if you want club/pub. Music is good, enough hot girls! But there is a lot of attitude here, fights and the doormen are such rude dickheads.
