Me and three of my friends used to provide musical entertainment at the pub for a few months back in 2005. It ended after Stan, the landlord, died of a brain hemrrorage and the pub closed up. It was closed and boarded up for years after, before becoming the current dog centre.

I thought we were in for a comeback when the builders moved in, but no - its now the 'Waggie Tails Doggy Day Centre and Grooming Parlour' and that is NOT a new trendy wine bar name!!!!

Closed and boarded up is about the best thing ever to happen to this hole.
