please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Standard family eatery. The carvery was good value at 5 before 7pm. Beers - Tetleys and Bombardier. On a second visit for a quick snack we had a couple of sharing plates between three of us which were also very good value at 12 the pair. In its limited way this is an efficient pub for a meal but not really one that you would wish to linger in.

Hare and Hounds in Menston a good old pub inn for chilling and somewhere for the kids to play a buzzing atmosphere set in a classy area. Funky young wacky staff down to earth and a good show for the kids. Even if you haven't got kids it's a loverly day out to sit out on the picnic tables in the sun and drink your fine ale what more can you ask..can get really busy in there though watch out at weekends when the parties are on! My only hang up about this pub is if your having a meal my experience twice now is that the tables have been occupied by people eating when you've already booked at the counter so if you are about to grab your seat with drinks in both hands and you've come on your own with tiny tots it can be difficult when your stood up with staff dashing about and kids you can't control and no spare table available as it's packed out. I'd strongly suggest to anyone if you have come by yourself for a change and brought a baby to double check at the till that your table is actually free it saves the hassle, stress and embarrasment of you wondering around like a zombi waiting for next week to arrive!!
