Gone down hill a bit since my last visit. choice not bad if you ignore the fact all the Beers were of a similiar strength, quality , well drinkable ,but also not as good as on previous visits.

Somewhat lacking in character but welcoming and a good choice of ales, albeit at premium prices (3.40). Worth a look if going to the Highbury up the road.

Rapid improvement from my last visit , 5 or 6 ales great choice that included one from dark star, yummy. Expensive yes , but there are more expensive pubs than this , and at least a good choice. Premier league. 9/10

Totally endorse clevedonquaffer's comments below about the ale - the Hophead and Yeovil ale particularly good BUT (and there's always a but) crikey, it was as dead as a doornail here last Sat night. Please turn off the TV and put some music on or do something - perhaps everyone was at the Green Man beer festival up the road.

Terrific Pub for Beer Enthusiasts...

On Tap during my visit:
Brooklyn Lager, Brew Dog 5am Saint & Punk IPA, Moor Revival, Otley & Worcester Sauce Ales, too..

Also spotted Flying Dog Scratch IPA in bottles, along with a good selection of Belgian & US craft lines...

The food was also excellent, the Steak Sandwich with Chips was 6.50 i think, and to a very high standard...the menu was small, simple & suitable to accompany a predominantly beer drinking social gathering.....

Will be returning asap to this smart pub....
