Visited Burnham recently with my drinking buddy and did all the pubs, found this one to be pretty good, although it was early in the day and fairly empty, so no real atmosphere, I very much liked the Eagle Bitter on draught, and despite being on a pub crawl did stay for a 2nd. Overall a nice clean and comfortable pub

Dirty table, stale bread, manky chips cooked in dirty fat. Garlic bread flashed under grill on one side, uncooked underneath. Beer wasn't great either.

After such a wonderful visit a few months ago I became much more of a regular however the new manager has put a stop to that - thank you!

My wife and I used to dine quite late on a Saturday but the new manager has stopped food at 8pm - why?

The staff are still very good but the whole atmoshere has changed for the worse. The new manager makes no effort to speak with her guest or interact, infact she's never around and I've not seen her serve a customer.

Very disappointing - pity.

Not been in here for a while as the previous couple of managers had turned it into a boys club for their friends.

Had a very pleasant surprise yesterday, the staff were very welcoming, the beer was excellent - first rate and such a good range - 6 I think.

I had one of their own steak and ale pies and I found it delicious, the gravy was full of flavour not out of a bisto packet.

Very relaxing, great place to catch up with your old friends - well done!

Had a nice meal in here this lunchtime, although the service was slow and perhaps a touch unwelcoming.

The daily specials were varied, but the main menu was limited, particularly with only two options marked as being available in children's portions (fish and chips and sausage and mash I think), and only about three pudding options.
When it arrived the steak and ale pie was very tasty and quite filling, but the presentation made it look very small.

My pint of Tribute was well kept, but my grandfather's Courage Best Smooth was not in such good condition.

The dcor made the pub quite dark, despite large windows.

Overall, not the best pub in the area but not the worse either (there is a Hungry Horse just down the road for example).
