This is now a rather nice place called 'The Plough Bar & Kitchen' and bears no similarity to the old Plough which used to be on the same site. Nice pint of Winter Warmer, friendly staff too.

Ah! I notice that they've embraced reality and their website now acknowledges that the pub is in Battersea and not Clapham. Not so far to walk for a pint of Young's now, although friends advise me not to bother in this case. Although pricey, the Ship (SW18) is more enticing.

They're certainly ignorant of the local geography. Bar's website still describes the premises as being in Clapham, which is all of two miles away, has SW4 postcode and is in Lambeth borough. I live a stone's throw away but "Clapham" is too far to go to a pub that can be noisy, is overpriced and employs bouncers (sorry, admission consultants) as if anticipating/inviting trouble. Young's beer may retain its good reputation but the company's pubs are nowadays not what they used to be, sadly.

There are many good pubs around Clapham Junction and along St Johns Hill, this is not one of them.

Yep, plenty of bar shills out there; all of them giving themselves away with the only-one-bumsucking-post posted-the-day they-joined riff.

Keep exposing them! I do.
