| 4T's brewery tap that wasn't too busy on my arrival on Saturday lunchtime, despite a Liverpool match just kicking off and being shown on two or three TVs. Service was quick and efficient. 3 of the brewery's own ales were on - APA, Big Daddy & Old School Mild. Guests were Oakham Inferno, Mallinson's Motueka, Poynton Vulcan, Revolutions Switch #7 & Red Willow Wreckless. All football games from Liverpool or Manchester clubs appear on the TVs. | After the Ring o' Bells and the Bulls Head, the impressive selection of real ale here made a welcome change. Several by the 4T's Brewery, and we went for the 4T's Stout, which was very pleasant. A bit of a strange place as despite the real ale choice, it seems to be focussed on being a sports bar, so the place did start to fill up and get a bit rowdy with excited gentlemen of a certain age crowding round one of the TV screens. | I felt out of place here because I didn't have a shaven head !! 7 or 8 obscure real ales from Breweries that you've never heard of, with no indication of what type of beer they actually are. [ At least I was fairly safe with Smokey Joe's Black Beer ! ] Very much big screen sport oriented. | A Wires pub (still can't use the Murdochism 'wolves') with a corner devoted to the current RL champions. A token concession to the four big local premier league clubs is also in the sporting area near the tellies. A bit of a modern interior designed for busy periods (probably on Wires matchdays) and a few ales on including their own 4T's brews. I tried the Eye to Eye and Forever Laegue which were both pale brews.
