I visited this pub for the first time last week, having found it recommended online when looking for bars near Euston Station (I was meeting a friend who was making a rare visit to London), and was frankly appalled at the level of service we received. The two members of staff we encountered were extremely hostile and rude towards us, and left us feeling totally unwelcome. As a lifelong Londoner, I know what to expect from the city's pubs, and have never experienced anything as poor as I did at the Doric Arch. We left before finishing our drinks and went elsewhere; thankfully managing to salvage the evening that the staff at this pub seemed intent on ruining. twostep - 26 Mar 2013 00:15
I like the layout of this pub and some of its idiosyncratic features. In my opinion, beer quality and range are usually rather better in the nearby Bree Louise and Euston Tap. However, as JonnyConsumer says, this is maybe more likely to be the place where you'll find a cosy corner and simply sip and chat the night away Arctium_lappa - 17 Feb 2013 22:11
Wonderful pub; one of my favourites. The staff are always lovely and the range of tap and bottled beers is excellent. The railway memorabilia makes for a great atmosphere. Look out for the huge ‘9F’ above the bar. The food is good, it is always nice and warm in winter, and the football on the TV is never too loud. A perfect place to wait for your train! Actually once you get settled, chances are you will miss the train but don’t worry, it was probably cancelled anyway. JonnyConsumer - 25 Jan 2013 13:44
Nice quirky little pub next door to Euston tube/bus station. Lively locals and bar staff give a walm welcome on a winter evening and £3.20 for a pint of discovery this close to central London (where pints usually equal no change froM £5) can only ever be a good thing. Only slight concern is the little mouse than ran over my shoe 1 minute after I sat down... antonioearl - 2 Jan 2013 18:31
4 Fullers and 3 guests on yesterday. Friendly and helpful barstaff who dealt pretty well with a noisy buch of football fans. An amazing 15% discount on real ales to CAMRA members - you have to sign up to a seperate Doric Arch discount card. This reduces London Pride to a most acceptable £3.01! cheshirecat - 27 Sep 2012 08:59
