user reviews of the Fountain Inn, Whiteparish

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I stayed in the B&B last night and the food and beer was top notch with prices to suit a range of budgets. I don't know what the history is with the place looking at older reviews but I would definitely recommend it now. Ringwood beers were in fantastic condition. The landlord was kind enough to let three soaking wet cyclists come in a bit before opening time and let us get dried off in our rooms before dinner. Cracking good fry up in the morning too.

The success of food has meant a conversion of some of the older seating in to tables for eating, which must clearly be the profitable element of the business.

Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated over the last few years. There seems to be a growing reliance on the microwave rather than freshly-cooked food.

Main courses range 7-12 and most include a fairly basic salad or relatively small offering of vegetables.

Again, sad to see a lack of attention to food in the way that their once was. At this middle price range, I think slightly more could be done.

As a pub (once the meals are over) it is a lovely friendly little bar.

A great village pub with everything you could want. Great home cooked food with a good selection of beers and wines. A log fire and beams throughout. Friendly staff. A mad springer spaniel. Bed and Breakfast which is handy if you can't drive home!)

Good food, not to expensive, good village atmosphere with wood beams, log fire and good fan extractors and b&b. Especially good for vegetarians and wholesome food
